Hey y’all so I’ve received some notes that are def good for all E6 and up to be aware of. Notes from a MCPO that sat the 8/9 board this year   Bottom line is that our boards are now very similar to statutory boards and the way that 95% of the Chiefs and below think happens at the boards are not accurate. Same to you bro! And yes, I feel the same way seems like it’s taking forever. I wonder what these quotas are gonna look like. I’m hoping around the 110-120 range.

Those projections are pretty realistic.  We made 104 last year.

I just hope we don't have to wait longer than the week of Thanksgiving. One would think they would push the results out ASAP once done with boards.

Disclaimer: legit question.  Not trying to be Sarcastic

 

So, assuming the board finishes as scheduled, do you think two weeks is enough time for a legal review for all the potentially selected E7 candidates?

Yeah, same thought I had is that they would expedite the board process this year but not inconvenience their due diligence on maintaining fairness. In the MCPON’s video months ago he did state the week of thanksgiving unless I heard wrong, then new guidance came out. 
 

To answer the “sarcastic” question above...who knows, it could be possible...only people who could legitimately answer that question are the ones who have done legal screenings post board.

      Lack of Free San Diego Dry Docks Complicates USS Boxer Repair

      The two dry docks large enough to accommodate a big deck amphibious warship in San Diego, Calif., are currently occupied, complicating the repairs of USS Boxer (LHD-4), USNI News has learned. Boxer came back into port last week with one of its rudders damaged after leaving earlier this month on deployment. As of Friday, the Navy was assessing how to repair the rudder to allow the 45,000-ton capital ship to return to sea, a service official told USNI News. The service would prefer to fix the rudder underwater with the understanding that the replacement repair could take up to two to three weeks, USNI News previously reported.
