Coming up on 2 weeks since adjournment....

Anyone have any historical data concerning the amount of applications received versus the number selected for the 6415 (Reserve LDO) billet?

I could never find anything on applicant break down per designator. I found total applicants vs amount selected for fy-14, but that was all.

Did you put in a 2nd designator?

In fy-14, 43 reservists applied, 19 selected, of those 19, 4 were 6415...

Where did you get this info?

I always wonder if they choose different things to look for with each board. I took a look at a Sailors package who got picked up on their first try. Nothing special. Evals were average at best. Above average Sailor, but not necessarily a superstar. Is it because this Sailor had alot of what they may have been looking for that year?

That is the million dollar question!  Is each board different as to what they are specifically looking for?!?

I would really like to know how many reservists applied for 6415 as compared to how many were selected.  If I am understanding it correctly, 43 total applications for every billet authorized for the reserve side were submitted of which 19 were selected for all the authorized billets; 4 being 6415...

Unfortunately no.  Not sure what a PS with civilian experience as a manager as well as a human resource specialist would qualify for?!?!?!

Every board is different. Great Sailors still don't get selected. What they look for in one cycle may not hold weight in another. That's why they always advice you to keep applying if eligible. An E6 with 8 years can get selected while a Senior Chief with 12 years get passed over. Go figure. With this board, there are no guarantees.

Does anyone know, historically, how much weight is given to the completion of PMEs?

There is an uneasy calm here. looks like no one is giving Feb release a chance. I have a feeling the TRIAD release could come when no one expects.

Do you think they'll announce when the results will be released like they have been for E4 to E6 results and the last Chief board?

Alright, so this is my first time up for LDO so I am not sure if this is normal or not.  I log in to BOL everyday just because I like verifing my LDO board status.  Everyday until today I saw in the selection board tab the following: it displayed the FY-16 LDO board I applied for, my designator that I applied for, as well as an "A" code, which I assumed meant that my package was accepted.  Today, all that information has been removed.  The only thing that is displayed is my non-selection from the CPO board last year.  Anyone else seeing this?  For those of you that have been doing this for awhile have you encountered this in earlier years?  Thanks.

I think the previous years chief results disappear from bol shortly before results are released....maybe its the same principle here? I dunno. Us reservists didn't get the bol update....

Could also be they just took it off since there's no reason to have a status code now....

I figured as much, but like I said this is my first time applying so I didn't know if that was normal.

Mine was there today.

Well now I'm all nervous.  I checked three times today from two separate computers and all three times the FY-16 LDO board didn't appear.  I am starting to think my application might have been tossed out because one of my appraisals was on the old form, which the NAVADMIN specifically stated to use the new form.  The officer that completed the appraisal left on detachment and I was unable to get ahold of him before the deadline so I sent that appraisal in on the wrong form.  My package was, however, accepted and I saw the "A" code when my package was screened and accepted the first week of October.  I'm probably just nuking it, but it's weird that thus far I am the only one that seems to have been affected by this.

You're nuking it. I wouldn't read anything into it. Board has been adjourned 2 weeks. They're probably just updating the system.

Next week would be 3 weeks. Anytime after Monday, although I'm sticking to my prediction of the week of the 23rd

Gotta say, after reading the few above posts I checked BOL and all the FY 16 data is gone. I have command access and even the status of the other LDO hopefuls was not on there now.  Got the butterflies, got my XO to check, and still no results.  This is usually a precursor to the results coming out but doesn't mean it will be this week or next week.

They'll announce when results will be sent to the triad won't they?
