Something I do want to mention. In years past, scuttlebutt was always welcome. Someone would come on, post their rumor and it would either be discussed or laid to rest as untrue. That is how I like this forum to run. Just like you are talking with your shipmates about the latest rumors, it's just discussed. Lately on this forum, when someone brings some scuttlebutt, another member will act like you are not supposed to post scuttlebutt by either putting them down or Pming them or whatever. T

I found it... For those looking for the UIC statistics:

 

Click on the "Career & Life Events" dropdown and then "Advancement and Promotion"

Scroll down and lick on the link to "Navy Advancement Center"

In the left hand navigation menu, click on "Command Info"

Under the "Command Advancement Resources" table, click on Exam statistics by "Rate" or "UIC"

last update I see is 8/3/18 and Sel column is all 0s

Yup.. still all 0 for SEL. I did notice that there was 1 discrepancy for my command and my rate. I panicked, but ESO found out who it was for (not me).

Can someone find the quotas, not the one the Navy posted on NPC, but the way that shows the % of advancement for this year and last year.

Thanks for the update. I'm deployed and currently in my barracks room and really don't feel like walking 20 minutes to work just to see it hasn't been updated yet haha

I didnt think I was that nervous till someone text me and said results were released but they were wrong, boy did my stomach drop.

Mine are opposite this one states 204 but statistics by rate show 200 SBE.

Profile sheets are the last to update right? Last year mine didn’t update for a week after results were out.

I usually don’t find out or check until following week and they’re usually there but that’s with the results coming out on a Friday.

Mine was 126 and now it says 118.

The number of selection board eligible for that rate has changed. Could be from anything really... legal is my guess.

Probably some people lost eligibility so the original 126 are no longer all eligible.

The original quotas were 126 eligible and now it says there are 118 eligible on the exam statistics by rate. I guess during the board there were some that became ineligible. That’s my best guess.

Are all of your commands getting all the board eligible FCPO's together to announce the results tomorrow or is it just my command? Also, do you prefer to find out that way or in private?

The points I'm trying to make are that the precept is crystal clear in saying that WHERE a Sailor is not something they control, and that there are more things than just SOQ/SOY that have meaning in the grander scheme of things. What matters most, IMHO, is that you're SSP (moving to the right...), best & fully qualified, and that the Sailors that you lead are successful. I think it would be stronger to have my Sailors get JSOQ for two quarters, with one getting JSOY than me getting SSOY at all.

ET1 hit the nail on the head. While being SSOY is a great accomplishment for YOU. It's like getting a qualification, its great if YOU have the qualification because YOU can help the command. Now if you qualify 30 Sailors, how much more impact does that have on the mission.

      New Navy ships are years behind schedule, because manufacturers can’t find workers to build them

      Charles Spivey came to Newport News, Virginia from North Carolina 40 years ago to work in the shipbuilding industry. For the last six years, he’s been president of United Steelworkers Local 8888. Their roughly 12,000 shipbuilders work for Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (HII) “There’s only one company in the world that can produce a nuclear powered aircraft carrier, and that’s right here in the city where we do it,” he said. Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro recently announced most of the Navy’s new ships are one to three years behind schedule, including the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, the first Columbia-class submarines, and the next round of Virginia-class submarines produced in Newport News. Shipyards around the country have similar backlogs.

      Lack of Free San Diego Dry Docks Complicates USS Boxer Repair

      The two dry docks large enough to accommodate a big deck amphibious warship in San Diego, Calif., are currently occupied, complicating the repairs of USS Boxer (LHD-4), USNI News has learned. Boxer came back into port last week with one of its rudders damaged after leaving earlier this month on deployment. As of Friday, the Navy was assessing how to repair the rudder to allow the 45,000-ton capital ship to return to sea, a service official told USNI News. The service would prefer to fix the rudder underwater with the understanding that the replacement repair could take up to two to three weeks, USNI News previously reported.
