Hey y’all so I’ve received some notes that are def good for all E6 and up to be aware of. Notes from a MCPO that sat the 8/9 board this year   Bottom line is that our boards are now very similar to statutory boards and the way that 95% of the Chiefs and below think happens at the boards are not accurate. Just freaking out because I feel like I have a good shot. Number 16 ep on a carrier, lpo at sea,  fcpoa president on a carrier, fully qualified, movsm, OOD, Jsl, dctt, and everything on the ladr plus more.  Only problem is I’m outta rate, I took a special billet and I’m thinking that will be the only thing to hurt me! I’m in a male dominated rate like every other rate 😬! I’ve always trended with evals, welcome aboard p (wap), mp, ep every command. Above rsca! Never failed a prt, no field codes 38! But I’m starting to believe that being selected with everything inline with advancement is based of your year group! I checked mine and it’s covert in opportunities for my year group! I hope that’s good news for me!  Just freaking out sorry for the rant!  Good luck everyone! Hope our names are called tomorrow if not I need a bottle of wine!

Personally I’m calling my wife first, because it seems she wants this just as bad as I do lol

Then I’m calling my last two Chiefs because they really had a big influence on me.

oh! And then calling the detailer to make sure I can keep the orders I already have to go to shore!

Calling my son first. Then I’ll talk to my wife. Then calling an old retired HMC that I worked with before I cross rated because he was awesome and gave me anchors as a second class 
 

id like to watch the town hall but can’t watch it at work

I was with my wife when I got the call that I was selected.  First call was to my detailer/mentor to figure out what do.  I was inbetween duty stations.

not one chief is talking about the results being released. only info I have got is from this message board. for everyone that have contributed to here I thank you. I don't really see this thread getting about 40 before the results are released.

The FY-25 Professional Development Training will consist of a total of four days and is required for all chaplains and RPs barring operational commitments. This training also provides continuing education units, which may be required to maintain religious organization credentials. 2. The Professional Development Training Workshop (PDTW), conducted on the first day, will be divided into morning and afternoon topics. The morning will focus on building a culture of connection and mentoring around shared standards. The afternoon will focus on how to review both Chaplain and RP records. Participants will build self-confidence and confidence in one another by learning to identify the shared expectations of all Religious Ministry Teams (RMTs). 3. The Professional Development Training Course (PDTC), conducted the following three days, will focus on building Spiritual Readiness through Competency. Participants will develop the skills necessary to intentionally, systematically, and helpfully increase the competency of our RMTs. Participants will also build sustainable connections with one another in support of our mission to increase the Spiritual Readiness of our warfighters and their families. This training is organized around the necessity of character, competence, and connection for the delivery of Religious Ministry in the sea services. 4. The FY25 PDTC objectives are to train chaplains and RPs to be able to: a.Comprehend the requirement to develop competent Religious Ministry Teams who inspire spiritual readiness. b.Identify the PNC standards that develop competent RMTs. c.Apply systematic practices to engage RMTs and those we serve with PNC standards that develop competent RMTs. d.Apply systematic practices to engage RMTs and those we serve with PNC behaviors that develop competent RMTs. e.Apply PNC standards to plan for supervision. f.Apply PNC leadership best practices to build connections within RMTs and with others. g.Utilize the PNC Competency Manual throughout the PDTC to create a comprehensive leadership development plan for RMTs. h.Utilize lessons learned throughout the PDTC to create a comprehensive leadership development plan for RMTs. 5. Dates and Locations. The FY-25 PDTW and PDTC will be offered on these dates at the following locations: CONUS LOCATIONS DATELOCATION Jan 13-16NAS Jacksonville Jan 27-30NB San Diego, CA #1 Feb 03-06MCB Camp Lejeune, NC Apr 07-10NB San Diego #2 April 28 - May 1NB Kitsap May 12-15NS Norfolk May 19-22NAS Pensacola Jun 09-12JEB Little Creek Jun 23-26MCB Camp Pendleton OCONUS LOCATIONS DATELOCATION Feb 24-27Rota, Spain Mar 17-20MCB Kaneohe Bay Mar 24-27Okinawa, Japan 6. Travel. Commands are authorized to provide funding in support of religious ministries within the command to include funding chaplains and RPs to attend annual PDTW/PDTC according to references (e) through (g). Participants are encouraged to attend the training being held in their local areas where possible. 7. Registration. Chaplains and RPs are required to attend all four days of training and must register for both the PDTW (CIN: A-5G-0005) (CDP: 19MG) and the PDTC (CIN: P-5G-1303) (CDP: 19MF) through the enterprise Naval Training Reservation System (eNTRS) via self-registration or the Service member's command training officer. Training dates and locations are accessible via the Catalogue of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC). Prospective students must submit a current email address during registration or the request will be returned. Registration SOPs and guidance are available at the Naval Chaplaincy School (NCS) milSuite site: https://www.milsuite.mil/book/community/spaces/navychc/naval-chaplaincy-school/pages/pdtwpdtc . If Service Members encounter issues with registration, they may contact their command training officer for assistance.       VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A man has been arrested on a charge of striking a state trooper and fleeing the scene on Wednesday.
