The program error when trying to access “Cycle 1 2025” PFA record for Sailors assigned to UICs that contain alphabetic characters (i.e. 1234A) has been resolved. 9. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the U.S. military to remove diversity-related content in accordance with President Donald Trump's executive order to end diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs across the federal government. Hegseth's order reportedly gave the Pentagon a deadline of Wednesday, March 5, to complete the task, but it looks as though the hasty effort had the unwanted side effect of erasing some of America's greatest heroes -- including at least one Medal of Honor recipient from World War II.
  10. This further shows that Trump knows nothing about the military. What is a former Chief, who was a co-defendant in a classified documents case of all things serving on a board meant for future navy Officers. Sure does send the wrong message. President Donald Trump is nominating his close allies to serve on the board of visitors for the U.S. Naval Academy, a month after firing the previous board. On the list is Walt Nauta, a Navy veteran who has served as Trump’s body man and was federally indicted alongside the now-president in the classified documents case.

  12. President Trump’s admiration for President Vladimir Putin of Russia has been endlessly dissected, but the American leader’s policy shifts since taking office again could have profound effects.
  13. WASHINGTON (AP) — References to a World War II Medal of Honor recipient, the Enola Gay aircraft that dropped an atomic bomb on Japan and the first women to pass Marine infantry training are among the tens of thousands of photos and online posts marked for deletion as the Defense Department works to purge diversity, equity and inclusion content, according to a database obtained by The Associated Press.
  14. The Defense Department has started placing probationary employees on administrative leave while they are awaiting official action by their organizations or until their termination takes effect. According to the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) local, approximately 20 civilian probationary employees at the Defense Health Agency were summoned to a conference room at the agency’s headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, where they were informed that they were being terminated. They were told to hand over their ID cards and laptops before being walked out of the building.
  15. For years, his morning routine was as therapeutic as the job he loved: Wake up at 4:30. Run or lift weights by 5 a.m. Then head to the veterans mental health facility where he works in California to help veterans who are struggling after leaving the military—just as he once had. But these days, he says he sleeps through his alarm and wakes up already exhausted, with a pulsing dread in his stomach. The first thing he does is check his email: Does his staff still all have jobs? Does he still have a job? Does his team still exist?
  16. Excuse me "commander-in-chief" but you are the cause of this escalation. After weeks of softening American policy towards Russia by pulling military and intelligence support for Ukraine’s defense, President Donald Trump threatened Moscow with further economic and trade sanctions after a massive Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian port city of Odessa triggered fires and damaged energy infrastructure.
  17. Donald Trump has revealed he has sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei seeking a new deal with Tehran to halt its rapidly advancing nuclear program and replace the agreement he withdrew America from during his first term. The president disclosed the move in an interview with Fox Business due to air over the weekend, saying: “I’ve written them a letter saying, ‘I hope you’re going to negotiate because if we have to go in militarily, it’s going to be a terrible thing.’”
  18. Unless the current administration intends to send troops to Gaza, this is not the way to negotiate and this is not conducive to maintaining or friendship with our Middle Eastern and Arab allies. In fact, his methods are childish to say the least. WASHINGTON − ''Shalom Hamas," President Donald Trump declared in Hebrew in what he said was his final ultimatum to the Palestinian group that attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. Filled with capital-letter threats of "HELL TO PAY LATER!" Trump, in a posting on his social media site Truth Social, told Hamas ''you are sick and twisted" before demanding that they release all the remaining Israeli hostages.

  22. When you’re serving on a Navy submarine with dozens of torpedoes and nuclear-tipped missiles, the best days are the boring ones. Boring on a submarine is good. Boring means everything is working like it should and everyone is doing what they are supposed to do. But, like with so many aspects of military life, there are a million and one things that can go wrong. And when they do, the crew must lean on its training and respond within seconds—or everyone dies. In October 1988, I faced such a day when a humanitarian transfer in rough seas led to a man overboard in frigid waters.
  23. TOKYO -- A U.S. Navy sailor was indicted on Thursday in Japan on negligent driving charges related to a deadly vehicle crash, a Navy spokesperson said. The sailor is affiliated with the U.S. Fleet Activities in Yokosuka, Japan, and was "involved in a motor-vehicle incident with a Japanese national on Sept. 18, 2024," Cmdr. Paul Macapagal, spokesperson for U.S. Naval Forces Japan, told ABC News in an emailed statement.
  24. Donald Trump’s shutdown of USAid has already had disastrous effects on humanitarian aid and development programmes around the world, but it has also ceded ground to the US’s chief rival, China, analysts have said.
  25. Aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) will make one last homeport change, moving from Bremerton, Wash., to Norfolk, Va., before it starts the decommissioning process in 2026, USNI News has learned. Nimitz and its crew of more than 3,000 will move to Norfolk by April 2026, according to a Congressional notice reviewed by USNI News. The nearly 50-year-old aircraft carrier is set to decommission in May 2026.
