  5. How about you read the guidelines. And it's in the Navy news. http://www.navy.mil/submit/display.asp?story_id=90350
  6. Awesome! Thanks for the quick post! WASHINGTON (NNS) -- Names of Sailors selected to advance to chief petty officer by the fiscal year 2016 E-7 selection board are scheduled to be posted to commands' BUPERS Online (BOL) accounts Wednesday, Aug. 5, with public release via NAVADMIN Thursday, Aug. 6 at 11:00 a.m. eastern time. Approximately 4,100 quotas were announced in June with an overall advancement opportunity of 23.64 percent for this cycle, just a .45 point drop from last cycle and above the 10-year average of 21.94 percent. The selection board is not required to fill all quotas; only the best and most fully qualified candidates are selected for advancement to chief. Because the Navy advances to vacancies, opportunity varies by rating, though advancement planners work to smooth overall opportunity across cycles.
  7. Now that is the Triad notice we were discussing a few pages back. So that was released July 27 and Triad will get their access August 4. About 8 days.

  11. Yep. too much stuff to take care of and the brain fries.
  12. I'll fix it. Unfortunately, from the past, small cuss words here turn into some very nasty stuff that I don't want to remember. That's why I have this in place...
  13. Somehow he wanted to hook up his shipmates without the recognition. We've also had the classified version released on the forum about three times. It's painful that the results are nowhere else but I have to delete the copy. I don't even save it. It's been sailors wanting to help their shipmates but don't realize they can't do that.
  14. I remember one guy many years ago who made an account only to announce when the results would be released (e4 - e6). Somehow or another he new exactly 24 hrs in advance. Every single time he'd email and say "TONY I FORGOT MY PASSWORD, CAN YOU GET ME IN!!". And he would never tell me why either. So I'd get him set up and he'd announce - RESULTS IN 24 HRS!!! And he'd leave, never stick around...
  15. TrueThat!!! I have an excuse dag nabb it!!
  16. Actually Triad is brand new so there wasn't a reinstatement. It was message traffic release to the commands, then they loosened the strings and released it here and there, then they implemented the Triad release with the 24hr wait period. In that 2011 time frame and before, that's when this forum got the results sooner than possible.
  17. Go figure, the poll I set up on that very topic. Yep, Alzheimer... Now if I remember correctly (and obviously not taking it as gospel) there was a few months gap before I did that poll. But I think (never mind)
  18. Yeah, so we're looking at the 2014 time frame? (Hey, I guess that Alzheimer's is actually setting in... )
  19. Agree with what you all are saying - now I'm confused BUT the e4 - e6 would explain alot about the multiple cycles of this happening. What I do remember the most were the complaints, and they were legit.
