  1. No DS13, you were not banned nor was it because of your opinion (whatever that may be). You didn't bother to read the guidelines or heed the warning that I had just posted. If you were banned, I would have kept your account and you would only be able to see Davy Jone's Locker. In fact (as I slowly turn into a skeleton a la Pirates of the Caribbean) this is the time when people start getting angry, do not take heed, and throw caution to the wind as frustration sets in over the wait. So two people were kicked off, and two more set to the deserted Isle until high noon, when they can then re-join in merriment. Those two who were kicked off can register again and thus must agree (again) to the terms of registration - the guidelines.
  2. Lol, I should put that as one of the bad word filter replacements. They'd be like what the...
  3. The portion that I failed to mention is that if you bypass the bad word filter, there are consequences. Remember the guideline folks.
  4. Some may wonder why they haven't been approve. If you do not reply to the registration validation email, I can't take action. It's somewhat automated. You have to whitelist navyadvancement.com and check your spam folder for that email. Also, it's not a good idea to bypass the bad word filter. Otherwise, someone may use a word here or there and then it begins to degenerate to very bad phrases. I am speaking from experience on this forum. That is the reason for no bad words. Also remember that family members visit this forum. A little trivia is that a young French lady signed up on this forum looking for her sweetheart Sailor and actually did find him as he posted a thank you.
  5. It's for the dinner list I'm sure. Basically, who would want fillet mignon with Hasselback potatoes & finely chopped chives, or prime roast beef with with Thyme Au Jus & mashed potatoes with Butternut Squash.
  6. WASHINGTON (NNS) -- The Navy announced Monday that it has reconvened the FY-18 Active-Duty Advancement Selection Board for Master Chief Petty Officers in Millington, Tennessee. The board was suspended April 12, after the Navy received a report that board deliberations may have been compromised. The eligibility list for the board remains the same and quotas that were released April 3, will be used. There are a total of 506 quotas, an increase of 32 quotas from last year's board, and opportunity is above the 10-year opportunity average of 13.01 percent for E-8's to advance to E-9. The full list of Cycle 233 active duty E-9 quotas is available here -> http://www.navy.mil/ah_online/documents/1704_E9QuotasSheet.pdf
  7. Agree, that's abouts how I've seen it too going way back.
  8. Every once in awhile, we have members of this forum who have to go through it and mostly legal but can't remember some of the stuff. In fact, I think one of the seasoned members who did bring it up on this forum but made it after a lengthy hold.
  9. Don't think so, papasmurf's post makes more sense.
  10. How could they have not chosen you?!? (golly gee willikers!!)
  11. I don't think we have that option but I am going to dig around. If I find something I'll add it!
  12. Yes, I've always considered you all high value. I've seen some of the products that were declassified.
  13. Good timing! We are assembling the snoopy team and our forum SEAL team members for a few recon missions. All intel will be gathered and disseminated after @HawkISback gives it a reality check. Does the CNP have a smile, frown or smirk? Away the Snoopy team away!!!
  14. Yeah this didn't matched your usual happy mood from the past here on this forum but there is no need to apologize. One of the purpose here is to vent, in addition to the learning, meeting friends and whatnot. For my part, I'm always happy when you swing by for the wait, if anything because of your username, but most definitely because of your contributions to this forum. and hope you continue to visit after you make it.
  15. I've seen some zingers that members have posted and I hope someone remembers a few of them. They are funny.
