Where are you at?  That has happened here at my NSW command and hoping my joint command that I am reporting to in November isn't like this.

Thats happens at my NSW command as well. What unit are you with?

I'm not sure if I really want to be at command quarters when they call out the new selects. I'd be happy if I made it but to stand there with 500 others and not have my name called....

remember praise in public and flip tables in private....or something like that!

Maintaining military bearing is easy. It's the walk of shame back to my office that I'm particularly dreading.

Maybe some range time will chill the nerves. Nothing more relaxing than the smell of fresh burnt powder and gun oil.

mentally?

It's that really possible?

I'm stuck in training all week. So boring. My mind is wandering like a kid at the fair.

I asked my lcpo of he knew how results wood be released by the command. He gave be a blank stare. Then said he'd find out

For me, it's putting miles on my motorcycle. I will be out rather late tonight!

It is down for me too, don't really think it means anything advancement-related though.

I know, but man is it fun to watch the systems go down while we wait for results!

Well, if anybodyi n San Diegod oes this, and provides proof, I will buy you 2 energy drinks of your choice...

The word I got was that all Sel Board Eligibles need to get down to the Uniform shop and pick up their Anchors, just in case... then report back to the Mess once they have them. :graphics-3d-smileys-377567:

There is absolutely no way, as in NO WAY I would ever buy Anchors for myself just to return them in despair/disgust/hopelessness. I don't think there is any conceivable reason that I could buy them unless they were for a selectee that I truly am happy for, or for a Chief, but for myself not knowing that I picked up, or knowing that I didn't pick up just to return them would be crushing to my already fragile mental state.

I have been given anchors twice in my career so far. Hoping one of these days I'll be able to get them pinned on. Tomorrow would be a great day for my dream to become a reality, but since this is my fourth time up and I'm a Cubs fan, I'm used to having to "wait till next year"! I'm running out of things to add to my "résumé" though. I consider that to be a good thing!

Ok so I may be the only one who interprets the announcement this way, but the 11 AM release time only appears to apply to the NAVADMIN/public release on Thursday. It doesn't necessarily give a time for tomorrow.

Triad is given 24hrs to practice their leadership skills.

That's what this forum is for.  Keep your eyes on here and I promise you will know when they are released.

Yup... I got a big bottle of microbrew waiting for me when I get home.  I am going to drink and play Rock Band with my kids, not even gonna think about Chief tonight!

Again, new to navy life, and just educating myself as a spouse. Is there any guarantee that TRIAD will even release any info as they get it tomorrow? Is it up to command discretion? I'm simply awaiting to see where we may move. If she doesn't get picked up we are off to Washington state to make naval history since she was one of the enlisted women selected for Sub but if she gets picked up that may all go away as they are not converting her rate to chief yet for the submarine. P.S. I wish more spouses responded on the dependent forums. I feel a little like I am invading privacy, just kinda feel like we (spouses) shouldn't  be here but there's not much else to get the info from. sorry.
