Oh no doubt. You know with us Ordies it doesn't really take much to pick up. I've seen and known ordies with less pick up. But you know how the game goes with that. Where did you get your MTS at if you don't mind me asking?

In regards to enclosures, why did you guys send so many?  Are the ones you sent in proof to what is in the evaluations?

I have all of my stuff in my evals, smart transcript, or OMPF.  Including my Master's degree and JPME and PPME.

I only sent enclosures for things not covered by evals and  not in my OMPF field codes 30-38.  Why would extra things need to be included?  Wouldn't it look bad to be including things that are already in your record via other means? Or if they weren't in your record, that you aren't able to keep your record up to date?

I know me personally I sent mine in because I felt they were important to my career and ladr and didn’t want to risk them getting overlooked. I can at least say I know that stuff for sure got looked at even if I don’t get picked at least I can feel like I did my part versus wondering what if something got missed somehow since we are all human.

When I talked to the MCPO that was on last years board he told me to send them in. The big ticket items (Degree, MTS, MOVSM, etc.) he told me so they do not overlook it in your eval. Now if your record is up to date then no worries. Most of my stuff was not in my evals (some was) but I sent them what I thought they should look at.

That’s good to hear, I was a little worried that I was sending in “ too many” enclosures when I was building my ltb

I spoke with a Master Chief who has set many boards and she said she didn’t consider a record to be “flawed” until about 17 enclosures. My first LTB had 6 and then she told me to add some things so my second had like 5 for around 11.

Sounds like I will be including more enclosures next year if the stars aren't aligned. I know my transcripts are in my OMPF. My PPME and JPME probably could stand to be included. Other than that, I only have a missing PFA from 14-1 that I discuss in my cover letter.  Get underway! In the offing knoweth ye that hand over fist I will fight hard & fast! So batten down the hatches because between the devil and the deep blue sea I will deliver more than a shot across the bow! (You big dummy) CFL didn't put it into PRIMS, then I started around August of that same year trying to get it put in, and then at some point they lost my signed copy saying I ran it after they were able to get me the scores. And of course all those email chains were lost when I was an idiot and never sent them to myself and my NMCI was reset on transfer leave.  So I have no way to correct my record in regard to a missing PFA.

That’s kinda weird. I wonder if the Gods that run the boards in TN spoke on anything pertaining to the Career Summary Sheets (CSS) prior to commencing the board. It seems he wouldn’t have changed his mind about the CSS unless some form of guidance at the board said otherwise. Just a thought. My MAC put one in last year and got selected. I guess it just depends on the person grading your package brother. I put one in this year but hey, at the end of the day I truly don’t think a CSS is a make or break for selection. It’s going to be everything that’s within the record. Good luck bro!

I asked him if it’s looked on negatively and he said no. He said most people he saw including him self clicked next page as soon as they saw the CSS, but he also said he saw a few spending time on them. Ultimately he said they are not needed. I’m sure there’s more to it but he didn’t say. He did say he will hold some training with both the CPO mess and FCPOA on things he can talk about.

Nice user name, doc. 🤕

A friend on the ship said they overheard the CMC and XO talking about Thursday for TRIAD

Just randomly reading some of the older posts and I was curious how many enclosures did everybody put in their ltb? I know everybody’s is different but just trying to get more conversation going, I had 12 enclosures in my ltb.

I had 6 enclosures on my LTB.

I would address it in your cover letter. Like

3. PFA cycle X-XX missing due to (whatever happened) currently working with (whomever) to correct.

(Although I only think they see PRT via evaluations, so if you have PP then you should be good...)

but what the hell do I know lol!

It wasn't in my eval. That is the problem.  If it was, then no issue exists. They can't see PRIMS.  And my cover letter is where I explain I went up to COB/CMC level to try and get resolution and there was none to be had. Nothing else I can do.

There is a good chance the message from Facebook was false.

It's not a good idea to bring stuff from Facebook and post it here. Some may want to review the guidelines.

Also, as nice as some of you are, when you break the guidelines and send me a message asking what happened, I do not reply. Especially when it is in black and white, in the guidelines what you did wrong. I'm not going to be constantly sending messages saying what is already written. I have better things to do.

;)

Hope it wasn’t me! Where can I find these guidelines? Thanks for the forum!

No, not you, and thank you.

In each of my posts, right below my name.

Also, if there is a real source to that message, someone in this forum should have a contact to the real message. So if you see something like that on Facebook, instead of posting here, check your legitimate sources. When we get some good gouge, it is usually from someone who has a Navy connection - not a Facebook connection.

It’s right around this time where the activity nearly doubles in less than two weeks. We’re sitting at 41 pages. My money says 65-70 pages by Friday the 2nd. Good luck to all. @Tony thank you for the forum. I’ve learned immensely from it since 2015 and I’ve spread the word about it nonstop. Fellow Firsts. Show the up and coming Seconds what the precepts are. What SSP is. How to be a well rounded Sailor. How to look through their records and correct them. So when they become a First. They immediately assume the role. Rather than take forever to grow into it. Keep the good word coming my Navy family. I’m on here at least 10 times a day to see it.

That’s weird because aren’t they supposed to legally review every page of the LTB? Anywho....this is going to be the longest week of our lives! Ahaha

What's this, if you are selected you wouldn't want to be around your prospective brothers and sisters 24hrs a day?

I know right.  All of the high quality training and mentoring that they would miss out on
