  5. From: Beldo, April D FLTCM OPNAV N1 MPT&E Sent: Thursday, July 31, 2014 6:50 AM To Subject: STATUS OF RELEASE OF CPO RESULTS Leadership Mess, Below is the story that will be in the Weekly Wire/AHC tomorrow that our sailors will see. As always, try to give you the first look. Vr/ April New Chiefs Names to be Release Next Week Chief of Naval Personnel Public Affairs Office WASHINGTON - The names of active duty Sailors selected to advance to Chief Petty Officer by the Fiscal Year 2015 E-7 Selection Board are scheduled to be posted to commands' BUPERS Online (BOL) accounts Tuesday, Aug. 5, at 9 a.m. EDT, with public release via NAVADMIN 24 hours later on Wednesday, Aug. 6. Approximately 3,900 quotas were announced in June, with overall advancement opportunity of 24.09 percent for this cycle. This was a 2.59 percentage point drop from last cycle though still above 10-year average of 22.7%. The selection board is not required to fill all quotas; only the best and most fully qualified candidates will be selected for advancement. Because the Navy advances to vacancies, opportunities vary by rating. Advancement planners work to smooth overall opportunity across cycles.
  6. oh yeah, the pages went down from the people I booted, forgot
  7. and that's how it has worked since time immemorial on this forum. we do see a little better picture of what is going on but it's only because of the members. Of course when the rumors start including bigfoot all I can do is slap my head.
  8. Yepper, page 160 or 161 so YOU have braggin' rights on that... So there everyone!!
  9. All right people. the crash was related to "Out of memory" on server. Braggin' rights on that one. Please keep the F% down, I'll be discussing with support about adding more memory. Not sure if I'll do it but not too worried about stuff... You all are awesome
  10. Well I'll tell you you are sweet, just have other "behind the scenes" issues that happen so I have to bring it up... THANK YOU!!!
  11. I want to really thank the CMC who sent that. It's really kind the stuff you all do from an unconventional track to help out people you may not even know but who are part of the family... 12. as I said, please substantiate.. don't just post the information
  13. unbelievably more than a mysql crash. the whole server went down
  14. And as I have said, scuttlebutt is ok on this forum just as it is ok at the smokepit at a command.
  15. well, if you look on the front page bottom right , we broke r record today for the third time , right now at 554
  16. it was at the point where some reservist said they would have to wait for the public release - just a mess but new systems, we have to remember that. It was also late release after Triad but not terribly late. Taking care of the troops shouldn't be an empty promise, this is our war fighting machine. I had mentioned soemthing about the good character of these guys because they did not show anger or anything but were resigned to the fact that they would have to wait for the public release. That's why I made that poll that is still up.
  17. ok folks, try to substantiate a little more your scuttlebutt. I mentioned that last night to someone who posted that it was released to triad yesterday 1930. I want to be fair and also mention that to those who say it has not been releases. For my part , I'm sticking to my mpost credible stuff which was I was changing my bet to next week , time unknown, date unkown bur before the 7th. ignore my gramar and spelling from now on
  18. Ok folks, someone last night bypassed the bad word filter with their sh*t. This is a rare time that I bring this up and explain. What happens is he (I won't mention Smoky's name) did it, then some one else who also has not read the guidelines will do it thinking it's ok because I didn't delete it. It's not ok and I did take action. By the second or third email I get those "well , he or she did it." That is usually when I banned that secord or third email and blacklist their email at the server level. It turns into a vicious cycle.
  19. yes the strange lag situation of the mysql database and where the posts come from. It's normal though.
  20. Nope, our new server is sitting sweet
  21. ok, that does it... need to do some quick maintenance and a reboot.
