I created a quick php countdown function that displays on the frontpage -->> www.navyadvancement.com , I can't display it in the forum cuz' it's php code.

Not really, this has been the most intense wait yet. So far our count is over half a million views for this thread. This is attributed to the new server which is way more stable. This is also attributed to you all who have made this forum a success. Some may think "well the forum crash didn't make it look that stable." The bottom line though is that the server could not handle the visit load - it ran out of memory before the bandwidth even became an issue – a first here. Everything has shifted left. That is one reason I have had to turn off registration; not enough hours in the day to take care of other stuff and to deal with some of the more demented Sailors in our Navy who troll here. Basically it it is still waiting for the results but to Triad. Also the new server is like the Zumwalt – you still need someone to check the gauges and press the buttons. So less band aids yes, less hectic – not even.

Approximately 3,900 quotas were announced in June, with overall advancement opportunity of 24.09 percent for this cycle. This was a 2.59 percentage point drop from last cycle though still above 10-year average of 22.7%. The selection board is not required to fill all quotas; only the best and most fully qualified candidates will be selected for advancement. As best I know BOL is 24 hrs later to allow CO,XO,CMC those 24hrs to perform their functions.

Speculation of release to triad has taken its place, yeah you might have missed it. Even though there was some credible info (our forum got it first) that it would be next week by the 7th (turned out the 5th ), there were rumors still flying afterword about the 30th and 31st of Jul. Rumors were being reported that "Bigfoot had the results" all the way to "Aliens from outer space were doing the callout" It was like the republicans and democrats with one party in total denial that it could ever happen next week. Reasons being that it was a crime against humanity or that it could reduce life expectancy - stuff along those lines. Better heads prevailed from the opposite party that stated it would be next week and that "it is what it is" or words to that affect of the current calamity. At about the same time this week Tricare posted about expanded mental health care options which is posted in the medical benefits forum and of which Tricare, nor the Navy, nor the Pentagon would ever claim is related to a butt load of Sailors waiting for the Navy to release the results. (Since you said you may have missed it, please note that I kept the above as factual as possible.)
