  4. Okay, I've added some names to the Selectee private forum. I will pretty it up later tonight and during the week when I have more time.
  5. Alrighty then, good enough for the Navy!
  6. Okay, got you @LSHARP, and by the way, congratulations. I did not get a chance to post with all the chaos!
  7. All righty then, I am in the process of starting a private Selectee area. Any Sel who wants to be added please PM me your name and rate and I can check it against the list. It will only be used to verify it on the list, it will not be listed on the forum, public or private. You always still have the option of using your name on this forum any time you want but that's your decision not mine.
  8. 1. Congratulations to the following personnel who have been selected for advancement to chief petty officer by the FY-18 Active-Duty and SELRES Navy E7 Selection Board. Strong competition between qualified professionals is one of the strengths of our Navy and your selection speaks highly of your abilities. 2. This NAVADMIN is not authorization for advancement. Specific dates of advancement will be published by Naval Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center, Pensacola FL. Personnel listed below may be frocked per BUPERSINST 1430.16F if qualified. The selection list is in alphabetical order by rate within competitive category. 3. Members are directed to verify their select status via BUPERS On-Line. Read each advancement. Active duty results can be found here. SELRES/FTS results can be found here. http://www.navy.mil/ah_online/ftrStory.asp?issue=3&id=101792

  11. I think it would be BOl, or that link @Navyspook provided. The database was already updated, they just need to change the "permissions", and that's part of the reason I also think about the time being wrong. It should have gone out 37 minutes ago.
  12. Anyone who wishes to start the "FY19 Chief Selection Board" is free to do so anytime.
  13. It could be, but the reason I say that is because it was never announced that there would be a change to the current method of release after Triad, which has always been 24hrs. That was a new one on me and being the "behind the scenes" kinda' guy, I look for those little signs.
  14. It would be an honor if you continued visiting to have fun and help others.
  15. I wonder if they made a mistake with the time...
  16. Has anyone's results shown up yet? They said 8AM.
  17. I think this was one of the more fun "waits" I've had and it was more enjoyable since the Sailors I was rooting for, for some time now, made it. As a note, when the results come out, I can't say congrats to those who made it because I am doing stuff behind the scenes to keep the server from blowing up. I do watch the posts though and was happy for everyone that made it. The big hiccup, for me, was that false post about the results being listed on Facebook. This was by someone who had been here a long time and was in good standing but will not be coming back. A note on that, the guidelines will be adjusted because of that incident. But the bottom line is congratulations to those who made it!
  18. Not this year Surf AT, the stars are not aligned to support this. The bigger thing that happened was that year I accidently deleted 83 accounts, a majority Chiefs. The new software had a flawed filtering system. That was the main support to get the Sel going. I can still get a private thread going for SEL, now that I think about it, after the public release. Just let me know, but it may take a few days cuz' of my schedule. I know you all will disappear but that is doable.
  19. And just to give you another laugh, for the last couple of days, and more so today, it was restart Apache, restart SQL, restart php-fpm. Then, when that didn't work (because of all the F5s, and no memory) it was forceful reboot - chewing gum and band-aids for several days. Then there was all the security alerts about the server which was caused by all of the PMs, notifications, emails and whatnot because the serve was not used to the gazillion % increase. Fun though...
  20. I think everyone knows about that F5 after this one!
