  1. I think it would be BOl, or that link @Navyspook provided. The database was already updated, they just need to change the "permissions", and that's part of the reason I also think about the time being wrong. It should have gone out 37 minutes ago.
  2. Anyone who wishes to start the "FY19 Chief Selection Board" is free to do so anytime.
  3. It could be, but the reason I say that is because it was never announced that there would be a change to the current method of release after Triad, which has always been 24hrs. That was a new one on me and being the "behind the scenes" kinda' guy, I look for those little signs.
  4. It would be an honor if you continued visiting to have fun and help others.
  5. I wonder if they made a mistake with the time...
  6. Has anyone's results shown up yet? They said 8AM.
  7. I think this was one of the more fun "waits" I've had and it was more enjoyable since the Sailors I was rooting for, for some time now, made it. As a note, when the results come out, I can't say congrats to those who made it because I am doing stuff behind the scenes to keep the server from blowing up. I do watch the posts though and was happy for everyone that made it. The big hiccup, for me, was that false post about the results being listed on Facebook. This was by someone who had been here a long time and was in good standing but will not be coming back. A note on that, the guidelines will be adjusted because of that incident. But the bottom line is congratulations to those who made it!
  8. Not this year Surf AT, the stars are not aligned to support this. The bigger thing that happened was that year I accidently deleted 83 accounts, a majority Chiefs. The new software had a flawed filtering system. That was the main support to get the Sel going. I can still get a private thread going for SEL, now that I think about it, after the public release. Just let me know, but it may take a few days cuz' of my schedule. I know you all will disappear but that is doable.
  9. And just to give you another laugh, for the last couple of days, and more so today, it was restart Apache, restart SQL, restart php-fpm. Then, when that didn't work (because of all the F5s, and no memory) it was forceful reboot - chewing gum and band-aids for several days. Then there was all the security alerts about the server which was caused by all of the PMs, notifications, emails and whatnot because the serve was not used to the gazillion % increase. Fun though...
  10. I think everyone knows about that F5 after this one!
  11. Thank you and congratulations on getting the S.
  12. And congratulations to everyone who made it! Milk & cookies or beer & pretzels on the house.
  13. @HawkISback, I've known you on this forum for a very, very long time and have seen you move up in rank over the years. In between making rank and getting kicked off this forum here and there , I've seen the knowledge and experience you've gained and then shared with others – I saw that transformation that was leading to Chief. I am very happy you made Chief, and I had to go get my daughter to tell her the good news that you had made it. Whatever you do, please continue helping others and whatever happens don't change. Just continue being yourself because you were already Chief's material.
  14. I think he might be talking about the one on the left sidebar here -> http://www.navyadvancement.com/navy-store/navy-books-reading-program.php
  15. Lol, that is automated. Every rule in the guideline has a particular origin. For that one, it was the argument I got into with the Navy office that actually releases the results, and them only sharing with that paper.
  16. This is the part I don't like - those who get left in the dark. Happens every year. Take care of your Sailor? I don't think so
  17. Yes, it was release to all Navy (Triad). Just different time zones.
  18. Well, I hope you can hit up someone who sat the board willing to offer some no fluff advise.
  19. Are you going to try and hit up some of the Chiefs? (After a rest?)
  20. No problem, but the thing is that you can't make a comparison, between the E-4 through E-6 group and th E-7 promotion. My thought is that the real issue, as with all other rates, is the attrition rate (or lack there of) with E-7 and above. I know an AG1 who was resigned to the fact that AG quotas have never been that good as @OS1(SW/EXW) said, and he spent his final years in the Navy pursuing his hobbies and perfecting his BBQ grilling techniques - a real stand up guy too. I might not be seeing the whole picture though, being stuck behind this server.
