My husbands command also has rumblings about it being released the 4th but not counting on it.

That is false. Navy.mil mistakenly released a statement saying it would be the 4th. They quickly corrected that statement saying it is officially being release to TRIAD on the 5th at 11 AM Eastern.

Now you get to correct your husband's command. Just go over there with authority and say "Hey look"...

About to lay it down for the night.... Yes, it's 2024 here in SD, and yes, I'm being an old man lol. In all seriousness, I hope I can get some rest. These last hours are gonna wreck me for sure lol.

Well I'm off to go do a cadence run for 365, I'm going to try a song that I made up and have been practicing for the past few weeks.

It's the last day before the results are released. I have done just about everything I can to prepare, either way it goes. How about everyone else?

house was cleaned last weekend so was cars. Kids start school on Thursday. Wife is aware of what happens either way. Checklist has been checked! Just have to let Chief's win tomorrow mornings basketball game at command pt. Decisions decisions. If I don't let them win and I make it I am in trouble. If I let them win and don't make it I fail my junior sailors and myself.

As a reminder, and to kill any rumors:

Results will be released to TRIAD Aug 5 at 11:00 AM Eastern.

Originally, an erroneous statement on Navy.mil was published stating the 4th. Officials quickly corrected that statement changing it to the correct date - 5 Aug at 11 AM.

If the date were to change again the Navy would release a statement: it has not.

Results will be released to TRIAD Aug 5 at 11:00 AM Eastern.

Further bulletins as warranted...

I feel bad for all the boys that are here in Bahrain and overseas in general because they have to get through an entire day and wait for 6pm to hit. I bet they all wish they were home so it's just a matter of getting through the morning.

As I was walking around the squadron some of my fellow Firsts (many of whom are eligible themselves) told me only one more day of being a First.  I gotta say it feels good that they think highly of my chances but history tells me that being an AWF does not guarantee me anything.  I feel like I have a strong package but I am deployed right now with one Chief with me so we will see.  Here's to hoping I get a call and my DET ends shortly.  Hard work either way!  This wait is killing me too, just like I see it is for many of you as well.  Get good rest today folks!  Tomorrow is gonna be dicey and for 4000 Sailors our lives are gonna change.  For those that don't make it, don't get down, keep pressing and leading.  Do what we've been trained to do.  Making Chief is not the thing that is going to define success in our careers.  Train our replacements and remember we didn't get to this point alone.  :)

mentally?

itdominance,

I think you are right.  Mentally is going to be the big thing.  We've done all we can to this point and soon the wait will be over.  Just get through today and wait in the am for the release and hope there is a knock at your door or your phone rings with a weird number.  Tomorrow I know I will not be screening my calls.  lol

There's a poll going on in the PRT category of this forum regarding the new PRT message.

The CDB poll will close Wednesday & I'll add another poll that same day.

There will be a Triage station set up at 9AM in preparation for the 11 AM Triad release. We'll have a defibrillator & an HM on standby. That will be port-side. On the Starboard-side we'll have beer, milk & cookies and other refreshments for those still standing. All refreshments are free. However, to cover costs, the Triage station will have a small $99.99 plus taxes charge if you happen to pass out or are otherwise incapacitated.

Good Luck!!
