A lot of my chiefs are giving me looks or hanging out around my workcenter. I am beginning to think there is some truth to that email, but we will see.  Other than that, luckily my workcenter keeps me exceptionally busy, so my mind is on the day to day and planning for maintenance and not my career future.

In regards to the email some folks are talking about... This morning at command PT, I saw a screenshot of an email that mentioned 7/31 Triad release. I always take these things with a grain of salt, but it seems to be the consensus in the forum today.

The thing that sticks out most is NCR's doing command PT.  JK I hope the consensuses is correct.

Yeah... we used to do division PT, sometimes. When the current CO checked in as the XO, we started doing command PT every Friday.

So my SEA just told me "definitely next week....most likely Wednesday".

Seems to be a growing consensus...

Does anybody else try and be slick and see if any of the sites with the 'prospective rate' date updates early? lol

I’ve been on transfer leave for the last 30 days! Family and Transferring has kept me pretty busy. I check in to my new command the morning of the 31st! Hoping to have that S!

Fact of the matter is that the names are already selected.

Enjoy the weekend, when the list drops we got Sailors to lead no matter S or N.

Good luck!!

Well with all the rumors of the email floating around from FLTCMs that possible results release Wednesday the 31st, enjoy the possibly  last weekend of anticipation. I’ll be TAD next week so hopefully I get a good phone call. Good luck to everyone and I hope to see a lot of “S” announcements on here soon!

Just randomly reading some of the older posts and I was curious how many enclosures did everybody put in their ltb? I know everybody’s is different but just trying to get more conversation going, I had 12 enclosures in my ltb.

17 vetted by a few MCs. I thought it was quite a few till a MC sent me his LTB from the board he picked up MC, 26 enclosures.

Well coming back from a week long camping trip catching up on all the post. So looks like Wednesday next week is the word! Cool with me, I figured it would be around next week which is one reason I took leave this week. Give me some time to reconnect with the family in the event I am fortunate to get the “S” this year.

I’ve been paying more attention to the MLB trade talks...deadline is the 31st!

If this is my year, my wife and parents will be pinning me. About a month or so ago, my CMC which I have been lucky enough to know for about 10 years or so, gave me his original Chief anchors. One of the best leaders I have ever served with!

I have been a follower of this thread for three years now and have never posted on here. A lot of great info has been passed down for which I am grateful. Good luck to all of you, and thank you for all your advice!

I am thankful for this forum and all the mentorship and experiences shared. If this isn’t it, see y’all next year!

So I too will chime in about the 31st. The SEL from my last command ran phase two last year, and he messaged me this morning with the same information triad the 31st Navy-wide the 1st.

Along with, “Good luck”

Going back to a conversation we had in regards to comments that precede the season such as "get ready" "be ready" and "it's your turn".

For those of you who earn the “S” remember,  though these words feel good to some, they really resonate for others when that “N” hits the board results link on BOL

I have heard these more than I care to in past years. The problem is that not a single person who has said these words has ever looked at a single piece of my information (to my knowledge). No Evals and definitely not my board package. This year I spent WAY more time in my PO1’s records looking for any hiccups prior to them submitting their packages. It’s simple “Hey Brother/Sister I found a mistake in my PSR/OMPF/CCA let’s check yours and see if it’s straight”.  That’s it, it was simple. It built trust and it’s an evolution of mentorship.

To summarize, if you move up and you would like to motivate the folks still making the climb, spend quality time with them AND their records, try not to assume they have it figured out.

That’s exactly what I did this year! I sat down with PO1s and assisted them in record review, building packages, and writing evals. They were a bit on the “oh I got it” side, till I showed them a few tips and tricks I’ve picked up over 19 years. It was actually enjoyable! The things I didn’t know, like what engineers should include in their LTBs, I just asked a Chief from a different community to explain, so I learned more in the process.
