  1. Ok thanks, but what are they BBQing? And it is Smoked, gas or charcoal? I love BBQs, my mouth is watering, can you ask your CMC, just let him know everyone is curious?
  2. That is very nice of your CMC & their Chief's Mess to call and find out when the results will be released, do you know what they are going to BBQ? And is it smoked, gas or charcoal?
  3. We're having more people than usual register on this forum recently, that's a good thing. With that said, I'd like to remind new registrants, and those that have not done so, to look at the guidelines for smoother sailing while we wait for the results. Also, feel free to join up now if you are lurking. There may be a time frame, as with past cycles, that the forum closes for new registration because things get too busy.
  4. And here's an example -> E-4 - E-6 Advancement Results Release Schedule
  5. So far as I know they announce when the results will be released to Triad, then the public. I think it's a public announcement but before the public announcements, I am not sure. For the life of me I cannot remember the office and I should cuz' I got in a fight with them but that's what I know.
  6. It's BOL as explained to me. When Triad logs in they are able to see the results because they have a different access level which is higher. Then, that same database is made view-able to the public 24hrs later. This forum has the same functions where there are other sections that are view-able to respected and trusted members but no one else can see them. Also members can enter the "Mentor" section but not lurkers (the public). Also, there is a classified version of the admin message (has the ssn) and the public (does not have the ssn).
  7. I have posted the "Past Active Duty Selection Board Results" in the Chief's category of this forum (the topic is pinned). If someone can gather the SelRes results I can post and pin that as well. It's best if they are both in the same format.
  8. I've added the "Past Active Duty CPO Selection Board Results" at the bottom of the Advancement Exam & Board Results. I've also include a general "How the Process Works" and a pie chart of when it has been released by day of the week. You can hover over the pie chart and it will give you the corresponding day. Hopefully I am reminded to update this.
  9. In the college education and Navy training, I've posted the "Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Changes Course" (Path to master chief includes advanced leadership at U.S. Naval War College) Just in case you want a head start...
  10. Yes, but don't worry, be happy. On a sidebar, there will be a small software security update. So if you experience some interruptions, that's what it's about...
  11. Disagreements will happen on occassion too and that's fine, we all learn from that. But again it needs to be done respectfully.
  12. It is okay to discuss all of this, that is what this forum is for; it just needs to be done respectfully...
  13. No, you read this; from the guidelines... 19. And of course, be courteous to other forum members. "Respect and you shall be respected"
  14. Oh cool, it was only an issue with the cloud hypervisor that my VM is located on; I can rest easy now whatever that meant.
  15. Having tech issues with the company that is hosting the NavyAdvancement.com server... They are still investigating what happened
  16. They also made that announcement in June -> http://forum.navyadvancement.com/index.php/topic/1612-get-automatic-profile-sheet-updates-via-email/
  17. Glad to hear you're starting early!!
  18. started the FY17 SELRES CPO Board and threw in applicable posts. Get started early folks. Fix your records, study and ask the questions now...
  19. I locked this thread and created the FY17 thread.
  20. And with that thought, anyone wishing to start the FY17 SELRES CPO Board thread is more than welcome. Eventually this thread will be closed. I always think it's a good idea to start asking the questions before and not after!
  21. Weelll... What I say is this: it's not the amount of opinions that Chiefs give that is supposed to get you over the top, it's your record and what you have done. If someone is more qualified than you there is nothing you can do about that. And it is always the more qualified member that will be picked. BUT (and that's a big butt) What you can do, is put yourself in line closer to the top. What etfc1121 posted a few up there is absolutely true. And having Chiefs review your records is to your advantage in moving up that line. You are right about the many variances but the person who takes the additional steps will be noticed AND the person who takes the additional steps will have the knowledge on where to improve. Appreciate your post.
