As far as anxious, I'm tired of being Tod it's my year. I just want the cycle over so I can go back to my life

Definitely let us know if member picks up

That brings up a great legal point, so a frocked Chief gets a DUI, how is that legally processed?  Since you can't bust down a Chief at NJP does it go to Court Martial or does the Chief go to NJP and gets a letter of reprimand which is a career killer?

The guy that got the DUI it in my command was lucky.  They removed his promotion recommendation, but didn't bust him.  I did see a Chief get busted down to Second and HYT out of the Navy.

I seem to remember that they select up to the quotas and then the board closes. No other names can be selected. So if there are 20 selects and three failed the PFA, then there are now only 17 selects. The three people that missed the mark, have to wait until next year and start working on their next eval. It's only in Officer boards that they select alternates.

The only way the board would know if a member failed their PFA is from their eval. The board does not pull up PRIMS. They do pull up PRIMS for e8 and above. That is why it's important to check your PRIMS and make sure it is squared away. Harder to get stuff fixed in there than your OMPF.

I know I haven't been as active on here this year, but I wanted to wish everyone good luck!!! There are people actively posting and actively stalking on here that are going to make it this year. Looking forward to seeing the posts from all those who do!

I believe last year there was a rating that had a high percentage of quotas to personnel eligible and they didn't use all of theirs.  Not exactly sure as to how it all worked out.  The more interesting thing this year is for LS group 1.  When the list is revealed, we can see if all of their quotas were used as they are 100 percent advancement.

EOD was 100% last year and they only used around 65% of their available quotas, IIRC.

Bust to E5 (from E6 as they are frocked). I've seen it happen once.

The board does find out, or at least milington does... They do a scrub of selects after the board and look for NJP's/PRIMS issues and things like that.  They are often placed on Hold rather than just removed from the list.  So their names won't be published in the Navadmin, but command's get notification at the triad level.  For example, during the scrub, they find a PFA failure.  They notify the command and find out if it was a clerical error or that the member actually did fail a pfa/bca.  The board only has access to the OMPF and PSR during selection, so they check all other blocks after the selected list goes out, at least that is what I remember from board briefs.

Oh cool, it was only an issue with the cloud hypervisor that my VM is located on; I can rest easy now whatever that meant.

Look for missing sequence numbers in the NAVADMIN. Missing sequence number = HOLD. Also, if a rate for example had 25 openings but the highest sequence number was 17, then several quotas went unused.

As of this year they will no longer be doing the holds. If you would have been on the list and your PRIMS or whatever else is wrong, you're scratched from the list with no notification. At least that's what my Senior Chief who has been on the board before told us several months ago.

Right on schedule for my two weeks prediction yesterday, must be a YN thing, let's see if I'm on target for a 29 triad, 30 public release

Let's hope it's later. Just found out my wife's out of town on business that week. I'm on mid watch all week so I'm having to take leave now

Does anyone remember when the board got out last year? It might change the length of the scrub if they aren't doing holds, but it would still be a judge of how long the scrub will take.

Just looked at last years thread.  It was reported by multiple sources on here July 15.
