    • Some military spouses who work in the federal government were notified by their respective agencies this week their remote work exceptions were being rescinded, despite them being granted just days or weeks earlier, several military spouses told CNN. The guidance from the Office of Personnel Management, the federal government’s Human Resources department, that would have forced them to return to the office was changed Thursday after a CNN inquiry into the matter. Military spouses now expect orders from their agencies will ultimately reflect change again, after weeks of whiplash that left military spouses in the federal workforce deeply worried about their jobs.
    • Judge Benjamin Settle became the second federal judge to block the policy. If allowed to go into effect, the Trump administration's new policy on transgender soldiers would be a "de facto blanket prohibition" that seeks "to eradicate transgender service," a federal judge wrote Thursday in issuing a preliminary injunction against the policy. In a 65-page opinion issued late Thursday, U.S. District Judge Benjamin Settle became the second federal judge to block the policy, which he described as discriminatory and disconnected from the goals of "military readiness, unit cohesion, lethality, or any of the other touchstone phrases long used to exclude various groups from service."
    • CFL/ACFLs, CSV File Update:  Due to recent PRIMS development, the use of the CSV file has slightly changed.  When uploading CSV file(s) for PFA Cycle 2025, CFLs must now separate the CSV file(s) between with medical waiver data and without medical waiver data.  For clarity, you cannot upload a single CSV file with mixed data.  CFLs will need to upload two different CSV files. Additionally, PFA data which needs to be uploaded for previous PFA Cycles (2024 or earlier), can be submitted to askmncc.fct@navy.mil utilizing the CSV file(s) guidance above (separated by medical waiver and without medical waiver data).  CFLs are reminded that all CSV files must be submitted along with the Letter of Correction (LOC) signed by the CO/OIC.  It is very important to follow the CSV file directions exactly as indicated to avoid any upload failures.  Updated/current guidance can be found under the PRIMS Training link, then CSV File Directions.
