Mastermind of Navy bribery scheme escapes house arrest just weeks ahead of sentencing

(CNN)Leonard Francis, the former military contractor known as "Fat Leonard" who orchestrated the largest corruption scandal in US Navy history, is on the run after escaping house arrest in San Diego by cutting off his GPS monitoring ankle bracelet, according to the US Marshals Service.

The escape comes just three weeks before his sentencing.
The federal agency monitoring Francis' house arrest, Pretrial Services, called the San Diego Police Department on Sunday to check on him, Supervisory Deputy US Marshal Omar Castillo told CNN. When police discovered Francis' home empty, they contacted the US Marshals, Castillo said.

      CFL/ACFL’s PRIMS-2 Updates - 17 APR 24

      CFL/ACFL’s PRIMS-2 UPDATES: Dual users of PRIMS-2 in Salesforce (i.e. CPPA and CFL or CPPA and ACFL) are still experiencing log in issues. A solution to fix this is underway, and we anticipate this to be corrected when we deploy another update, which is scheduled for the end of April. In regard to the inability to export / print PARFQs and med waivers within MNP., we anticipate having it resolved by the end of April. We are still experiencing issues with CFL/ACFLs not being able to see current or previous PFA records. We anticipate having this issue resolved at the end of April as well. Physical Readiness appreciates your patience and understanding as they work to get these issues resolved as soon as possible
