The September 2019 E4-E6 Active Duty Navy-wide Advancement Exam (NWAE) will not have Professional Military Knowledge (PMK) questions, the exam will be exclusively 175 occupational questions. Active Duty, Full Time Support and Canvasser Recruiters taking the September NWAE must successfully completed the online PMK-EE to be eligible for advancement for the fall cycle. If a Sailor who is being paid for their current rank is reduced to a lower pay grade, when that Sailor is eligible to test for their previous pay grade will they need to take the PMK-EE's for the pay grade they use to be? For example: Prior to the NWAE this coming September (Cycle 244) an E5 Sailor is awarded E4 pay after an NJP. When that Sailor is eligible to test for E5 again will they need to complete the PMK-EE's for the E5 exam since they have already attained that pay grade? With this in mind, will anyone have to take the PMK-EE's for a pay grade they use to be paid for? (i.e. they were an E5 before and after this next exam and are reduced in rank after?)
