I've heard NOTHING. Shouldn't they call either way?

Sorry to hear. Take the limiter off the engine and go full out. You have one more chance and that is all you need!

Plan too!

You would hope so. But, unfortunately some commands wait for public release to do notifications. And, for those of us at those commands, which I have been at, it drives us absolutely crazy. It just depends on how the command decided to do it. Sometimes it is to give them time to tailor the notifications to the individuals both for those selected and non-selected. Sometimes part of group notifications. Just to name a few possibilities. Regardless of the reason, still drives us crazy!

Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible.

Focus everyday on developing yourself and others around you. Continue to live your dream through action! Leadership isn't about a rank or title, but about looking out for people regardless of the circumstances. Enjoy this long weekend, reflect on this past year, look at ways of improvement, and set your priorities for continued success.

Still in session.

According to NAVADMIN 14-16, "15 July 2016: AC E7 advancement selection board scheduled to adjourn"

Cool thanks, I've been on leave trying to get my mind off of it. It's worked so far.

Just got word once again this not my year, I got one more year, it is what it is, I wish everyone the best of luck , and congratulations to those got selected!

Call me nuts but I have one more opportunity for advancement at my current command. I have plan in place and the support of my leadership to help make that happened. Don't worry though, I am also looking past the Navy and if the Board wants to hold the fact that I didn't get my FMF  Pin when I already have a warfare pin which in my opinion was a much harder pin to receive that will be their loss of a great leader. I will leave with my Masters degree, two new knees, my head held high with no regrets and a 100% disability in placed courtesy of the Navy! I dare anyone to say anything to me about the Fleet Reserves, I will hang up my hat when I am ready and not before! Quit is not in my vocabulary.

Yes, the better commands do that.

I want to pass this on.  Most board First Classes I have talked to did not have have JPME or PPME.  For those on this forum, you have to do this!  It has been a precept for at least two years now.  That has been the number one thing I have seen people lacking.  Now with plenty of time, you should knock out the O level courses too.

Looking in the magic crystal ball I see Triad August 3rd, and public release August 4th.... Or a fur ball. Not sure. Kind of fuzzy.

I don't know what to say. That is about as graceful an end to a chapter as I have seen. And, that is what it is. Now you can start a new one and take what you have learned with you into it. You are a roll model for others to follow. Even though you are retiring you can still help shape the Navy's future just being here with advice and guidance. I know people that have been retired for years that I still call for help. Good luck and God Speed to you as well.

Well said, best wishes on your next adventure!

Even for the Active duty side I have meet a lot of people that didn't have this and were not selected. It didn't seem like a big deal but I mean it is. I have been told that what is in the Precepts is golden and that is the board checklist. I didn't do mine until after I found out I made board so hopefully that doesn't effect me negatively. I try to let everyone know that they should do it. If you need help, let me know and I will do my best to help.

Congrats to everyone that got selected yesterday especially to the new LSC, since I'm a LS1 but seriously that's awesome. I was told that if I get selected remember where I came from and that some sailors don't get selected first time or at all but it will be your job to set them up the best way you can, so they can put there best foot forward. Good luck in a month or so when active comes out, I'm stoked and humble at the same time.

I want to thank the people on this forum for the guidance you provided throughout this process.  I found it very helpful and learned a lot both last year and this year that I think made a huge difference for me and I am glad I will be able to pass that along to others.

Congrats to all the selectees!!!
