Very well said. Family still #1. Its my 4th time but also on the edge of hitting 20, so if its meant to be, it will be. If not, its okay. Might be grumpy for few days but Navy ain’t the life. Goodluck to all!!3 points

It looks like I made it after 2 tries in Active, an invalidation due to switching to the Reserves, and a cycle where my exam was shredded accidentally. There has been rumbling from my current command stating that I made it in 2020 despite my profile sheet stating otherwise, so that might be a fun rabbit hole to go down and figure out what happened.3 points

Good luck to all. At 17 Years TIS, I'm planning on shore duty and retirement. This isn't my life and the Navy will move on as well.2 points

Been several years since I've posted here and I lost my original account. This is my 11th consecutive year up for board. Next week also marks 18 years of service. I just wanted to impart some wisdom. Get off the computer, especially social media. The board has adjourned and nothing will change the results. Go enjoy your family. The school year is fast approaching and you won't have much more time to enjoy the kids. Don't live your summers each year with results in mind. Make your family vacation plans and live your life. It's easy to cancel plans and come back for season, but hard to make plans if you're buried in your feelings over non-selection. If you aren't selected, it's ok. You will be ok. Feel your feelings, then get back at it. Congratulate those you know that made it and don't compare yourself to anyone on the list. Comparison is the thief of joy. Look at your ECP/LADR and work on it. You don't have to be finished by November. A PIM to cover your time between eval and next year's LTB due date is an over-looked asset. If you need to study, work on your study plan. If you are selected, congratulations! Trust the process.2 points

Another year, another N, but not a surprise. If I couldn't make it last year, I probably never will. I'll keep testing and submitting LTBs, but I'll be content to retire with dignity as an E6. If I got mobilized again as an E7, it'd still come with like a 50% pay cut from my maritime officer job anyway lol.2 points

Pinning is slated for 27SEP-29SEP for most areas from what I’ve been hearing .. Eval’s will undoubtedly be backdated to 15SEP per standards. releases have not been on schedule since Covid. The new normal is no normal until it’s normal again Quota release has been consistent: week after boards adjourn2 points

I am a USN veteran putting together a shadow box for my dad who was a Vietnam Era sailor. He enlisted at 26, served aboard 2 different ships, and got out when he was 30. He said he was an East Coast sailor the entire 4 years. I have the flag off his casket and the shell casings from his salute as well as some other items from his time in the Navy. My question is about his ribbons he has both an Army and a Navy Good Conduct. How and why would that happen? As far as I know he was never in the Army. He also has a National Defense, Antarctic Service, and Armed Forces Expeditionary. I would be grateful for any explanation I could get. He never talked about his service, except for his liberty stories, and from those stories I wouldn't have expected even a Good Conduct!1 point

I was in the Navy and transferred Army, and I have both on my service record and wear them along with other Navy entitled awards.1 point

Miracles do happen, it seems. I got the nod. I was surprised to be one of the 14 selected in my rating. Congrats to those selected, and don't stop charging those who are delayed but not denied.1 point

SBE = Selection Board Eligible; usually displays the current FY board that the member is eligible for on the continuity report before/during boards yet drops off after PERS confirms board results and release is incoming ... CCA = Performance Evaluation Continuity Report (I believe)1 point

BOL has been up and down with changes being made for eNAVFIT and other database migrations, including FLTMPS to ADE .. expect something to be a bit wonky.1 point

dive deep and get that back pay. if it's due, it's due. Congrats.1 point

I gave up on Active Duty since I was tired of rotating every three years and not having a place to call home. I may have taken a pay cut in the process, but I managed to make rank off of 100% quota (stats just released, I don't know why quota states 6, but NAVADMIN shows 4) and now have a fixer upper with 17 acres. I think I'd go back active if I make warrant, but that would be a hard sell still.1 point

I'm active duty so I'm curious to see who'll make it in August1 point

Lol well my rate is making 43 out of 93 and I am missing an eval. Good luck1 point

This is my first year in the reserves, I'm not really confident in my command to reach out if I made it haha. BOL has not been updated for me since 5/17/2024. 7th time up and I'm 40 points over the final multiple, but I just cross-rated from EMN to EM, So idk how much that will hurt/help me.1 point

Why so late? They released quotas early as hell I believe. Thought pinning was September 16th?1 point

Reserve boards ended 8JUN and Quotas dropped 11JUN to GEN POP. Board members are usually only ones privy to quotas until after they adjourn. At that rate, we are looking at the week of 22nd.1 point

Does anyone have an idea when the quotas for FY25 CPO board might come out? Last year they came out before the board in June, so I was just curious. Thanks!1 point
-
Of course, what this shows me is that I ain't got a snowball's chance. If I didn't make it when they had quotas for 53, when this year they only have 17 and my latest eval is yet another "brand new to the unit with just enough time here that we can't give a NOB so 3.0 P"...1 point

I took notice that there are zero ITS (or ITR/ITE/ITN) listed on this list. Is that due to the current rating split happening?1 point

Finally, they were pretty slow with that release... Getting to the point now where I don't recognize more and more of the names. Congrats to everyone who picked up!1 point

Per the guide: https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Portals/55/Boards/Selection/ESSBD USER GUIDE (v5).pdf?ver=k35dhjXSjsirN3SVaSmktQ%3D%3D "The Reference Line can be edited. Click into the reference and change the pre-populated reference. Only one reference will be allowed." However, I am certain there will be a healthy mix of edits and non-edits. A number of folks are still extremely confused by the two-step submission process via the ESSBD and likely will not even think about updating the reference as long as they ensure their full name and DODID are on each enclosure, as stated in the NAVADMIN. Per the NAVADMIN, the only ESSBD guidance is: " 5. Record review and communication with selection board: refer to reference (f). a. LTBs should be submitted via the Electronic Submission of Selection Board Documents (ESSBD). If unable to use ESSBD and for more information on LTBs, visit the following link: https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Career- Management/Boards/Active-Duty-Enlisted/General-Information/. b. All LTBs and each enclosure must contain the candidates full name and 10-digit Department of Defense (DOD) identification number. Candidates must verify that the correct board number is on their signed cover letter. Board numbers are: (1) Board #335 for SELRES. (2) Board #336 for TAR. (3) Board #360 for AC. " So, if you have the full name, DOD ID, and correct board number ... you should be fine. IN THEORY....1 point

Okay for EESBD, do you all keep the default reference there or change it to the NAVADMIN for this board i.e for this year will be NAVADMIN 088/24?1 point

I'm a strong believer that you will make it when the time is right. I have been SBE for 4 years. been told by some i have the perfect package meet every thing that i need to on my LADR but missing an NEC that they want, and they are trying to keep certain ones in the navy. Also have one PFA failure and then a BCA pass but waived from rest of PFA. So I'm sure that will keep me from making it too. PFA holds a lot of weight and I'm sure will keep me from making it before retirement. The navy loses a lot of great Sailors due to a inch or two. Definitely understand there are standards. hopefully one day that changes a little and your performance and the things you have accomplish holds a lot more weight, cause people (not just me) put in a lot to get a little in return1 point

Trying to find any word or schedule regarding Quotas/Results Cycle 263 2024 active duty. I've been under the impression that it usually occurs just prior to memorial day. Covid however seemed to have operated on an extended timeline. Date for quota release? Thank you1 point

You will get differing opinions depending on the CPO or above you consult. The consensus has been to include items not captured in OMPF field codes 30-38 and call-out items that may be visible on OMPF (SOY NAM, FLOC, JOint/Other Awards, etc.). Just know everything you add must be reviewed and briefed by the person who gets your file. These two vids give a rough breakdown of the briefing scenario: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DxMTzkPshhNw&ved=2ahUKEwik-ZyJgI6GAxVeNlkFHZ2lCfwQtwJ6BAgQEAI&usg=AOvVaw0aN8VEEePIYP3zjlHLJl8F https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DPlHtztMpnJQ&ved=2ahUKEwik-ZyJgI6GAxVeNlkFHZ2lCfwQtwJ6BAgSEAI&usg=AOvVaw2WX_A7OF-BJjYwhRUaLl9j In my opinion, if you think it speaks to meeting or exceeding the eligibility framework on your enlisted career path (ECP/LADR) and you want it to stand out, add it to your package/LTB. Keep your enclosures to the lowest number possible while reaching your goal. You are your greatest advocate!!1 point

Question for people familiar with the board - I've had some people say not to include things already in your record, others say to do so to call attention to specific items. Is there any sort of consensus here, on whether to submit duplicates, or to simply make comments on the letter in reference to items in my crowded OMPF?1 point

It's very late compared to the last 3-4 years. Nothing official yet, but word is boards should adjourn OOA July 19th with results OOA August 19th. Last year, the LTB due date was Monday, June 12th. If we are in the same ballpark or date range guesstimate LTB to be due for AC boards OOA Monday, June 10th this time.1 point

Any word on when packages are due? The NAVADMIN is usually out by now but I have been unable to find it.1 point
