Veterans will no longer be exempt from work requirement rules for food stamps under President Trumpâs âbig, beautifulâ spending and tax law, leaving many worried about how they will find employment. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which is the federal aid program formerly known as food stamps, currently allows work exemptions for veterans, but that will soon end under legislation signed into law last month.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. â A woman is suing Liberty Military Housing for $1 million after she claims they failed to fix her garage door, which ended up falling on her and causing permanent injuries. Tiffany Smith claims that in 2023, while living at a Liberty Military Housing property on Rustic Arbor Way in Virginia Beach, the garage door fell on her neck, causing what she calls "permanent injuries."
