Haven't posted since last year. Second and prob last time up. If not this time then prob never. New command and timing are going to be the deciding factors. Got all the required quals. LPO FRS, LPO at sea, Maintenance Control LPO, dual platform full systems QAR, JPME, PPME, USMAPS, 5 NAM's, a COM, MOVSM, major command collaterals. Last evals are special MP, NOB, 1EP, 4EP, 1MP, P. I took forever to promote to First. I've got a chance this time but not a great one. If not I know I have done everything I can. I will change my focus to life after the Navy. Good luck to everyone. Hope to see many of you with the elusive "S"!!!!

I am up for the fourth time (made board each time) and left my last command with P, #18 of 91 MP, and #4 of 99 EP.  Prior to that command I was ranked 1 of 1 EP three times in a row with different reporting seniors and at their average as it was their first time ranking E6(s).  Now I am at another command where I will be ranked 1 of 1.  For my eval should it be MP at COs average and then next time EP above average to show progression OR should it be EP?

I'm not going to lie,  I think I'm more nervous now that I know the date of release.  I bet many of us will be jumping at everything that morning, lol,  from seeing the CMC coming your way, the Chiefs smiling at you, just every little thing.  Who else feels this way?

Opinion: no. Other Chief's may say yes. However, I would mention as much as possible how your guidance and leadership directly led to your Sailor's success on x, y, and z. While the other guys eval is half filled with look how good I am, yours will be about your folks. Which is what right looks like!

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely use it while I finish up this years eval. I've learning more and more about the importance of showing the impact a sailor has made on their people and the mission in the write up versus "look at what I have done this year".

First time poster!! I've been following this thread for the last 2 months or so and It's awesome reading everyone's comments. Like most of you, I'm hoping to pick it up on Wednesday. I feel I have a pretty decent shot, but we'll see! Any other AM1s out there? Good luck everyone!!

So, I'm walking into work this morning and it really sets in that I'm at a command with over 200 Honorable Chiefs...

Wednesday is going to be INSANE!!!! :o:D

First things first, Chest Frockwell has a awesome avy. Secondly, good morning to you all, and thirdly, I may have cursed/jinxed myself. I had a dream that I was selected. it creeped me out because I never dream about work related stuff. It has never happened to me before so I am going to go over to FFSC and see if I can get counseling to see what all of this means.

Join the club...I am so pessimistic about this selection board, my CoC thinks this is my year I told them thanks for the vote of confidence but I doubt it....but to everyone else good luck.

It is pretty easy to get into a "Once bitten, twice shy" mentality. Nothing you can do it ride it out to the end and see how things shake out!

No problem. It's what us CFL's do! I had so many questions at command pt this morning. Happy that we can put the rumors aside and get back to operation chief select sweatex!
