Schrodinger's cat? Would it be Schrodinger's FCPO? We are all both CPO Sels and FCPOs until the box is opened? Anyone with me on this? If not it's ok, lot of absurd junk in the head of a guy just waiting 2 weeks to PCS.

Good fishing in Guntersville. I wouldn't mind recruiting in Huntsville or Madison after my next sea duty. I'm teaching A school right now.

If this were the old navy it would be, "What do you do with a drunken Sailor" but I like your kindler gentler "Tra, La, La"!

Somehow I got back to back shore coming out of an NCTS in Jaxs to a NSWC here in Indiana. Am about 5 hours away from home. We got a private lake here on base with lots of big mouth bass and deer hunting allowed.

PS. We at 100 pages yet?

I have so much to do it isn't funny. I am so backlogged I am having to contract out my yard work and some of my house repairs just to keep even marginally on schedule.  I am trying to have everything done I can prior to the 29th, but I have out of state travel this weekend as well. Too much to juggle!

I went to college in Huntsville, good ol' Alabama A&M, had good times in Madison County, probably too many good times which contributed to my enlistment in the Navy vice being a "Playboy". :D  My parents were born and raised in Gadsden/Attalah, but due to his being in the Army, I am from Texas.

Started out at Northeast Alabama State in Rainsville but did too much partying also. How I ended up in the Navy needing college money to finish my degree.

I've contemplated opting out, which I wont, it just seems too much of a risk down the road. I don't know how much I can contribute physically because I'm LLD, but if selected I think that I would, or at least attempt to go all out until my ailment says "stop".

the mess will understand the lld situation and pt you accordingly.

One more day down! We are in the final stretch now. We'll get to 100 pages before the results are released, I think...

As we approach another weekend closer to results coming out I wish you all a safe and happy one. I am not so far removed from the days of anxiously awaiting results that I have forgotten the sick feeling in the stomach you get just thinking about if your name will be on the list or not. It took me 9 years in a row of making board before I finally got the "S". So that was 8 "N's" before I got my "S". Regardless of what the outcome is, everyone safely spend as much QUALITY time with friends and family as possible, because if you are selected, then you will not get much time at all with them over the course of the six weeks or so of Phase II.

In other words.... you've all worked very hard to get where you are, so don't do anything stupid that could possibly jeopardize that!  ;)

Hello guys and gals! Been a while since my last post! I have been lurking and watching all the posts and have not posted anything because I didnt have any reliable info to pass. Well today was my commands closing of CPO 365 Phase I wich we called our capstone event. We had a certain Fleet Master Chief attend our ceremony, as a special guest judge of our motivational marching. I wont say the name but this Master Chief drove from DC. If you know a lil something then you should be able to figure out who im talking about. The FMC (fleet master chief) in a very smart manner told us the results would be out the first week of August. The FMC didnt give an exact day unfortunately. The FMC also had a view point on people not wanting to participate in Phase II of 365. The FMC said "There are first classes that didnt get selected that would do almost anything to participate in Phase II. You should feel honored that you can participate because there are so many people that would love to take your place" FMC words not mine. Sounds about right to me though.

No truer words have been spoken. When I went through we were reminded of this on a daily basis.

Well, all the CPOs in my command are on their way to the Base Theater for a brief.  Just thought everyone should know!

Not surprising. Everyone knows the results are due within the next few weeks so the various commands are prepping

Been awhile since I posted but at my command we got an email saying phase I raps up next weds. For what it's worth. Other then that not much talk on when they are coming out. This is my first time up for board and I am nervous just like everyone I'm sure, but hopeful I will get selected without being overconfident. Been recruiting, riverines where I was LPO and Boat Captian qualified, now back in the fleet and working on taking a LPO slot if one opens up. Riverines showed me how important it is to take care of your sailors and put them first and you will succeed. Team work is everything and as lot as you pull your weight and help out when needed there is nothing we can't do together. Good luck to all.

FWIW, my last year's N on BOL is still there (not surprising) and has a last modified timestamp of 8/5/2014 8:00:37am.
