My belief is that you should take it as a compliment that they believe in you that much to call you that before results are on the street. On the flip side of that, it can totally demoralize you if you're not selected. It'd be a double edge sword to me because it's saying they see it in you, however, the board didn't.

I agree with the demoralizing part. I was told by a MC a couple years back "this is your year" and it stunk when the list came out out and I wasn't on it. Made it worse that he was at the boards that year.

Just got back from a long leave period. Just 2.5 weeks til I am due to transfer outta here. My command here is seemingly convinced a triad release is coming tomorrow. I don't believe it myself, been arguing with my fellow firsts, but it really seems as though EVERYONE including khaki's think tomorrow's the day. Just the butt of the scuttle. Good luck all!

Tony where's the guy, YNC(SS), that was here last year and worked in the CNP office?  We need someone to find out if CNP has the results or not.

An individual made officer and went Hollywood so he doesn't visit anymore...

Yeah that's what I'm saying. We are lacking in the hookup department this year. No Snoopy team, no recons, nor admin types with solid intel.

I'll even settle for my sisters aunt who has a cabin in Alaska knows the cousin of a friend who knew the CNP's gardener.

almost 100% positive they will not release the results tomorrow or on any Friday. Wednesday or Thursday is the best bet!

I would bet next Wednesday or Thursday but I hope you are right.

I concur! Mess here says they would want to avoid selectees celebrating too much and getting DUIs or in other trouble.

My internal calendar is forecasting 29JUL for TRIAD and 30JUL for NAVADMIN if not, that week is lookin pretty solid.....

I would discount the rumors of a release this week, and here is why:
1. Since 2001, no results have been released prior to JULY 28th.
2. Historical trends have placed release of results an average of 12 working days after board release.
3. Even though the board is over, Millington is still likely in the process of the post-board scrub of the list of selectees. With such a large number of people to review, a records scrub of that magnitude takes time. Millington does not have infinite resources, so this scrub would likely take 10-14 working days as based, again, on historical trends. Being as we know the board let out around the 16th, 10 working days would be around July 28th. You still need 1 to 2 days for routing and CNP review, making a release prior to the 28th very unlikely. Based on historical trends probability of release increases substantially on the 28th and remains steady through AUGUST 5th.

Again, historical trend analysis indicates a probable window of 28 JULY - 05 AUG.

Also, results have not been released on a Friday since 2011.

I agree, just passing the climate here in PCola, not advocating just repeating.

I place that assessment as HIGH CONFIDENCE based on the current profile of events closely mirroring historical trends.

If I get the "S" I want the results right away.  If I don't get the "S" I don't care when they release results... Since I won't know "S" or not without the results... oh forget it, can someone near Millington go pull some Mission Impossible stunts and get the word out?
