I asked a board member MC about that and he said that they don't pay too much attention to that. They are more concerned with promoting the most capable leaders.

It makes sense. There are probably not that many EP's with the SSP needed for promotion, so the few that do have have it probably don't come close to the cap.

Hello all! Just checking in! I've been on vacation with the famy for the past ten days at the lake fishing and swimming. I get back Friday of next week so mid to late next week results would be fabulous. Oh, no CPO Select shirts for this year up yet on Groton. That's where I'm on vacation. Lol

Alrighty folks, people are signing up but with a heavier load than usual I'm getting notified later rather than sooner. I'll get to them though...  :o

Yeah why they put the O and P so dang close together. Don't they know too many of our acronyms are very similar?

Probably done intentionally to pass the buck...

I need feedback on something really important concerning my current transfer.  Anyone's feedback would be helpful.

I transferred back in May from my ship in Japan for shore duty in Europe.  While in route I had a 2 month school in VA, which I recently finished and now I am currently on leave.  My wife stayed in Japan while I attended school, but will fly out to meet me on leave in the next 2 weeks.  She is on my orders as accompanied and we are scheduled to report mid August.  I know if a Master Chief makes a mistakes and gives me an "S" this time I should most definitely report early, which I have no problem with one exception.

The country I'm going to requires a special VISA for spouses, and her entry VISA is stamped for the 17th of August.  If I get the "S", I don't mind changing my flight, but I also don't want to leave my wife with my parents for 2 1/2 weeks (depending on when the results post).  At the same time, I don't want my gaining command to think I am skating on leave while the results have been posted.  I live only 20 minutes from the Naval Station Newport, RI base.  So should I go there and report into the CMC to get his opinion?  I mean, I don't want to go there now and ask.

Confused.

Thanks for your advice!

Quick question, and I'll let all of you continue to live your lives, is PPME/JPME a big deal? I have done them and I heard that it helps if you haven't gone to college. However, I already went to college and obtained my Bachelor's degree, but that was in 08 and I don't think that the board will look back that far on my record. I should've went for my Master's but I honestly did not want that degree.

PPME and JPME are listed in the precept so yes, I would say that it helps you.  How much it helps you is open to interpretation/speculation, but absolutely yes it does.

Good afternoon Forum. Hope every one has there eval's ready, I was told for those lucky ones to get the "S" there will be little time to write a close out.

I already started my periodic, so all I would have to do is edit the write-up a little and change the the 15NOV15 to 15SEP15....hopefully.....

Having just transferred there isn't much to write.

Well I got to my current in March, so I had some time to knock out some major quals and join 2 training teams, which I sent in my LTB, so hopefully that helped in the selection process. Plus it would be a closeout eval, those are the best kind...

Same  checked in in march to a P-8 squadron, got my quals and knocked out the SEJPME. So it will be a close out or a regular only the board knows.
