Charcoal, great choice! But I was curious what they were going to cook. Are they going to grill something like Grilled Skirt Steaks With Two Chimichurris, or Grilled Tenderloin Of Beef With Spicy Fresh Herb Vinaigrette or Grilled Leg Of Lamb With Pearl Onion And Plum Chutney? Glad it's charcoal, Ordy prefers smoked though.

Stop it Tony, you're making me hungry!

Any Chiefs on the forum.... have a help! question.  I am set to transfer next month overseas, should I see the "S" when the results publish, how will that effect me transferring in the middle of Phase 2?

Question for the guys and gals who say their command is having quarters on the 30th...did they say a time or TBD?

In the past I've heard some include the disclaimer "Subject to change" or words to that effect.  ^_^

And Tony, I prefer a lightly Seared Filet Mignot with a Bleu de Gex crumble finished in a skillet indirect with a topping of Rosemary tomatoe port wine reduction, peach or pear smoke preferred.

Yeah baby, that's the one!

I suggest osiris0107 recommend this one to his CMC for their command BBQ, thanks!

The CPO Mess here in Pensacola seem to think that the results will be out mid next week in the 29-30 July frame.

Take that as you will, but I highly doubt that they chose that date based on any "official" information, more likely just a hunch.

Your command should ORDMOD you and hold you. If not, report as fast as you can to your next command.

Completly agree. My husband just transferred from his command and as soon as these results come out and I see a "S" his 30 days of leave is ending early. BY DIRECTION OF HIS WIFE!

Has anyone heard "they must select a certain number of early candidates"? I know they use to be limited to the number of selectees that were under the 11 year mark for Chief. I keep hearing this and just trying to confirm.

Last time I read up on it they did away with the only 10% of early candidates can be selected and now the most qualified candidate are selected regardless of if they are an early candidate or not.

Does anyone have an example of an FCPOA President resignation letter? I wanna gen one up in case I make it I can turn it in immediately and my mess won't miss a beat. Thanks.

I haven'tp personally witnessed it but it would make sense that the command should contact your detailer and next command to "hold" you. That is definitely something to ask your mess.

MCPON Phase 2 Guidance states that a selectee may transfer during the season if the gaining command agrees to continue the phase 2 for that selectee.

Its really up to the commands.  If I were you I would stay onboard, if possible, and continue what your started until the end of the season and then transfer.

Quick question, and I'll let all of you continue to live your lives, is PPME/JPME a big deal? I have done them and I heard that it helps if you haven't gone to college. However, I already went to college and obtained my Bachelor's degree, but that was in 08 and I don't think that the board will look back that far on my record. I should've went for my Master's but I honestly did not want that degree.

The precept states that PPME, JPME, and advanced education are to be looked on favorably. You'd be doing yourself a disservice by not completing them. I did them as well. Hopefully, along with SSP it's enough to get us the S. Best of luck to you shipmate! ??

You are 100% correct and just to add to that I spoke to a Master Chief who told me have JPME & PPME combined grades out the same as an associates degree (strictly the amount of points it equals).

I was 100% serious to he has no option. Run to do walk. It's like playing monopoly when you have to go to jail. He does not even get to collect his $200. All his gets is a congrats, a kiss and go check in right now. I don't care if it's 0200 when we find out. He will be in his dress whites on the QD and I'm driving him to make sure!

I thought you were just an average mil spouse, then I read your name and it all makes sense now... So, does this mean your husband technically gets two sponsors? Or can he not trust you as well?

Haha not to hit the nail on the head persay, but my wife's water broke this morning so that's exactly what's going on over here. Hopefully after my son's birth I see an S next week and these will be the best 2 weeks of my life...right before the most sleep deprived 6 weeks of my life. Life is great!

Add a newborn and it will be 7 to 8 weeks!

Does this strike anyone else as "Used Car Salesman" ?  But honest, I signed up for an account so I could respond and join the community.  Lurking is good for information and insight, but when you have a question or answers for others you can't do much without the account.

Either a used car lot or a seedy club in Thailand!
