US Naval Community College Begins Accepting Applications for Aviation Maintenance

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ QUANTICO, Va. โ€” The U.S. Naval Community College officially began accepting applications for its Associate of Science in Aviation Maintenance program Monday, Feb. 27.

USNCC worked with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to provide a naval-relevant degree program focused on those who maintain aircraft for the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

โ€œWeโ€™re excited to further the lifelong learning process of the naval aviation community,โ€ said USNCCโ€™s President Randi R. Cosentino, Ed.D. โ€œThese Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen will develop a set of skills and earn credentials that set them up for success for the rest of their lives.โ€

      Navy wants to sample well water in VB for PFAS

      PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) โ€” If you live in a Virginia Beach neighborhood where you often hear the sound of freedom from the jets flying out of Naval Air Station Oceana, the U.S. Navy wants to hear from you. Starting this month, the Navy is requesting permission from property owners to sample wells that are used for drinking water. Scientists are testing water samples for toxins called PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances) that could flow in the direction of ground water.
