      Trump escalates his racist attacks on Black Americans

      It should be apparent by now that it is trump who has the low IQ... These are all — Trump’s slur that Winfrey, Beyoncé and other Black celebrities are basically crooks, and that Black people are inherently lazy — centuries-old white supremacist tropes. His comments are part of a much larger pattern of behavior where he has repeatedly insulted Black people, specifically Black women, as being dumb or stupid or “low IQ.” This is the same white racist “logic” used to justify Black chattel slavery and over 100 years of American apartheid and racial tyranny in the South, and other parts of the country, under the period of Jim Crow and into the post-civil rights era and beyond.

      Navy wants to sample well water in VB for PFAS

      PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — If you live in a Virginia Beach neighborhood where you often hear the sound of freedom from the jets flying out of Naval Air Station Oceana, the U.S. Navy wants to hear from you. Starting this month, the Navy is requesting permission from property owners to sample wells that are used for drinking water. Scientists are testing water samples for toxins called PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances) that could flow in the direction of ground water.

      Treasured flag presented to Navy Officer found in junk car, reunited with family

      VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A timeless treasure was recently found inside a junk car. A towing company was about to haul off an old pickup truck when the tow operator found an American flag in a shadowbox on the passenger seat belonging to Richard Ford. He said he knew he had to act.
