This is an interesting topic.  We have those that think that it is a good old boys club and that they (Twin Screws) can do as they please.  This investigation is contrary to that belief though.  Was it someone who did not like the behind the door process?  Was it truly a disregard for the rules.  I do not know if we will ever get the full story, but I feel the Navy system as much as we complain sometimes about the ambiguity tries to keep this sacred tradition as pure as it can with the human factor always being the hardest challenge.  Though this gives the Mess a black eye, it also reveals that standards are in place and we as Chiefs are reminded to be good stewards of those standards.
