What else did he say about the boards?

To make it short and sweet things most of us already know. And he could only say so much without breaking the rules.

CPO365- more points than we think and it shouldn't be "Active member". SEJPME/ PPME.FCPOA/POA-holds more weight than we think.Same with MOVSM.

It was a detractor when a First eval has only his/her accomplishments, and not their Junior Sailors accomplishments .

Another detractor was not having OMPF updated. Someone OMPF not being updated since 2008 and not sending in a LTB. How can they know about any new quals?

Careery Summary Letter-ok but only 1 page snap shot of last 5 years.

Don't send in College transcript in LTB should send Diploma or have transcript loaded in OMPF.

Being an instructor at a command and taking 2-2 1/2 years to get MTS.

If someone fails a PRT within the 5 years, it's what you do after it. CFL/ACFL, leading CPO365 PT Lead or leading PT.

Well I remember reading that they were saying that they were waiting on the redistribution message before the results.  Just got a email today from FORCM Lloyd-Owen with some info about the new policy.

This was the subject of his email. ****HOT HOT HOT**** Pending announcement: CPO Redistribution Policy  If you want pm me your email, and I can forward it, as I'm not sure if I should be posting on here or not.  I'd rather not make Tony mad this time of year.

If it's not classified it should be okay. Also if it's a long one, I'd rather put it up as a link. Just let me know.

That's a great list, an OSCM in Pearl Harbor that sat the board last year gave me the same info.

Well this sounds like he was talking about my record lol. He would have been a board member for myself! I'm a FC. I failed a prt 3 years ago after foot surgery and was able to come back and be ACFL then CFL, and was Commity lead for 365 PT. That definitely takes away some anxiety I have about failing.

i am also missing a few things, like CSOOW, but I was unable to get it at my last command due to IA so I hope they took that into consideration! We shall just see this week!

Congrats on your fmf pin man ive been onboard my first greenside for about a year and had to start over with my pqs due to the new inatruction.. Do you have any advice or tricks for it since you just got yours. Im trying wrap my head around the GCE portion at the moment.

This is my 1st board im going in it with all eps with back to back soy from previous command and division level ssoq since ive been at this command. Movsm jsam jcomm 6 nams 10 out of 83 is a hard thing to think about especially seeing the  highpoints of yalls package.

You stand as good of a chance as any of us, best of luck did you know anyone on the board?

Lol ok. Where are you currently stationed? He did talk about if you had designation letters for CSOOW/EOOW/ACDO etc to send it in.

He also said that if you didn't have a regular sea/shore rotation explain it in your LTB.Or something you feel you needed to explain, explain it.

We shall see! I hope you get the "S", if not PM and I'll give you the name of the MasterChief and his email so you can reach out to him.

I reached out to two of the MasterChiefs by email that sat the board last year and only one of them replied, remembered me, and gave me feedback.

I didn't explain it. I figured they would see my eval from Afghanistan...

that would be great to know if I don't get the S. thank you! I was stationed at a shipyard in Washington now I am currently heading to the Nimitz.

What was some of your feedback?

The answer I got to this question was "if it's in your EVALs, then don't submit it," even when talking about quals.

Yes! I got it.  I'm reporting to a ship that already has two chiefs in the division (not normally the case).  I have a feeling that this message means One of us is getting new orders!

The thing that has me wondering is the billet for AMEC here is getting gapped as apparently we have a shortage on the flight line.  So I kinda wonder if I'll stay here, or get transferred.
