I'm still calling the 2nd.  I don't think they are gonna wait another week and make the season 5 weeks instead of 6.

I really hope you are right and I agree! Just passing the latest in the rumors lol

So I'm struggling with this decision, my grandma just passed. I don't know whether I should fly CONUS to her funeral this Saturday. With results coming out and SMC next week I feel I'm in a bind.

Family first.  She was there before Navy and family will be there after.  Sorry for your loss.

It's all rumors cuz I mean, come on,  why would they publish the release dates like they do for e4 to e6.

Rumors make the NAVY go around. Smoke pit rumors are the best:ph34r:

Today one of the ETCM at my command that sat the board this year provided feedback to a group of E6 and E5's.

He's hopeful results will be out this week and he said the reason they adjourned early is because they were convening the E9 board back up in Millington, and didn't want the integrity of that board compromised haha

I have a feeling we are going to see the results in the next two days to support a seven week season. Selectees this year will have to spend a week at RTC, which will take away a week from Command's abilities to train their new Chiefs.

I heard this was a choice. Not a thing.  I can't see the navy spending the money to send every select to RTC

Not all selectees will participate in the "back to bootcamp" week. It's elective, like the Constitution.

From NAVADMIN 152/17

3. Only 150 CPO selectees (max 75 male/75 female) and 15 Chief mentors are
authorized.

Definitely not elective under that verbiage, just that limited spaces are available. I could see each installation sending a few Selectees.

A selectee needs to apply to go and then get yet another "S" and then they need to find a CPO to tag along with them.

OS1(SW) Craig, just stationed at RTC as an RDC. This is my 4th time up, but I missed board my first 2 years. I have 3 consecutive EP's coming from a DDG, left as the #2 EP, President of the FCPOA Association, lead CAT Team Member, Trained and led CPO 365 twice, have CICWO, SUWC, ICO NEC, and ASTAC. Also have PPME and SEJPME. OSC is 28.8%, hoping for the best. Good luck to everyone

I feel for you! I will tell you that I thought I was a shoe in at 40 percent for OS and did not pick up, but it is a new year!

Still trying to figure it out... I got a com and sailor of the year as well as competed for the NAVEUR/NAVAF SOY (though it did not make it to the board in time) good heart beat on my eval and well above cumlitive average so we will see... If not this year I am confident next year.

Edit: spell check is terrible!

16YOS, 9 years as a First, 7th time up here.  Rumors were flying high today at work in favor of results this week (some for Triad tomorrow, message Wednesday; some for Triad Wednesday, message thereafter).  Have uniforms & haircuts squared away, & good luck everyone!

Same here just wishing they would give us a time line already

Agreed!  While no specific date has been put out ahead of time for Triad notification or message release in the past, results have been out the last day or two of July/first few days of August for the last 16 years.  One thing to add to the haircuts & uniforms:  Get lots of sleep!
