Some people got to study.. as long as your make it.. you get the ticket to the "dance"

I study. But the ITS exam is still a hot mess in my opinion.  If it pertained more to our actual jobs and equipment it wouldn't be so bad.

Yeah, I have ok evals, only one breakout and that was last year, I have everything else except for my MOVSM, quotas are 24 percent, better than it has been in the last 5 years. Sometimes I think its not about what you have done but what have you done better than your competition. Sometimes the "top" sailors in your rate just don't always make board. I guess that is the whole stars are aligned thing...

I guess we all are thirsty for the results, just remember if you do get selected, don't become "that" person, humble yourself and never forget where you started from

Most of the chiefs have told me that.  No matter what happens during the season.  Stay humble.  Or you will be humbled....

This is # 8 for me, I am hoping that they are good, but I have one  1 of 1 MP that will fall off after this cycle, Evals are great, I got my MTS, and I am currently am filling the only FTS billet at HM "A" School. But who knows, I have been told that I have been in the ballpark before so who knows,  How about you?

This is my second look. I went to be an OSO at a Naval Hospital 5 years ago. I was rated against all the AD HM's (96 of them) and was started with the "Check-in P." I progressed though to a low MP then high MP and left with an EP. Got my 9502 and 8404 NEC's. 2 combat deployments (OIF and OEF) 2 MOVSM's along with an Associates degree and warfare device. I've been onboard at my first greenside command for 6 months and got my second warfare device (FMF) 3 weeks ago but it was to late for this board. Hoping the other stuff will be enough. Either way, brother....GOOD LUCK!

This is number three for me. I feel confident but will never count any chickens before they're laid.

Hello shipmates; recent lurker, first time poster. This year is my 2nd year SBE, and I was fortunate enough to be down in DJ for the final CPO Exam Cycle with the deployment waiver in effect (I recently returned from a 1-Year MOB).

Good luck to everyone, from the saltiest crows on the mast to those who are on this emotional roller coaster for the first time. This year and the delayed results will certainly be memorable for those who get that shiny (S)!

Until we hear the straight dope, at least I've got chicken......

Yea, I got pretty much the same thing, 9503, 8404, SCW, 2 MOVSM's, JPME, AMDEC, Check in  Low MP,  then High MP, should have an EP on next eval, and a bachelor's degree. They are only making 10 of us this year so here is hoping we both make it best wishes!

So I'm struggling with this decision, my grandma just passed. I don't know whether I should fly CONUS to her funeral this Saturday. With results coming out and SMC next week I feel I'm in a bind.

Congrats on your fmf pin man ive been onboard my first greenside for about a year and had to start over with my pqs due to the new inatruction.. Do you have any advice or tricks for it since you just got yours. Im trying wrap my head around the GCE portion at the moment.

This is my 1st board im going in it with all eps with back to back soy from previous command and division level ssoq since ive been at this command. Movsm jsam jcomm 6 nams 10 out of 83 is a hard thing to think about especially seeing the  highpoints of yalls package.

IRT the FMF Pin. I was GCE as well. I wont sugarcoat it. This was one of the more difficult things I had done. This is what I did so I hope this helps. For 8 weeks I isolated myself for 3-5 hours at night in my little man cave and hand wrote flashcards page by page through the Core and GCE specific study guides. There really is no short cuts. BUT!!!! Just so you know (as long as your board is like mine) you prac app weapons and Land Nav so there is no need to know everything about all weapons systems. That was killer for me. I actually had memorized everything about every weapons system only to have to break down and reassemble an M9 and M4 and know their range, max range, nomenclature, etc. Take one section at a time and learn it. Learn it forwards and backwards and then move on. When I say I got it in my first 6 months onboard the reality of it is I didn't even start my PQS until 10 weeks before my board. If I can do it, anyone can.

Hello everyone...I used to be on this forum daily and I can say it helped me out a lot. I made Chief last year and I can honestly say this forum had some help in getting me there. This forum is filled with knowledge and lessons learned. I'm anxious for these results to come out. I know for a fact everyone in here is too. Good luck to everyone. Enjoy the quiet before the storm and take care of what you can now. You may not have time for much of anything here soon.:D AOC(AW/SW)

I'm still calling the 2nd.  I don't think they are gonna wait another week and make the season 5 weeks instead of 6.
