This upgrade sure did fix the random delectability feature that I'm sure is a big hit to all you admin times... haha

IDC and I are the only two that seems to have voiced our fortune. Hopefully everyone else will find this thread too. Thanks for starting it!

I applied HCA direct commission through officer recruiter, was hoping the result will be out about the same time as MSC-IPP..... Clearly not....

I wasn't selected. Looks like I'll be on the FY18 thread (third time) once it gets started. But congrats to those who were selected!  Hopefully, once the dust settles, I can reach out to see what I potentially lack in my package.

As a reminder, you can start the FY18 thread anytime you want.

Congrats to all that made it.  I was fortunate enough that I got selected for HCA and this was my second time submitting a package.  Don't give up and achieve your goals.

If you read the towards the bottom of the message, it tells all selectees to contact Ms. Kemp and provide current contact info. I emailed her yesterday and have already gotten a "Thank you" email back.

I have no idea about BOL. I'm sure it'll get updated. I just checked mine and it is blank as well.

Congrats to all the Selects from the FY17 MSC IPP board, knowing the caliber of Sailors selected and how competitive the program is, outstanding job to all of you! BZ

For the rest of us that were not selected this year, or for people applying for the first time, it's never too soon to start working on our packages for FY18's board.  That was my first time applying for MSC IPP (HCA), so I will be applying for the second time this year, and will also be applying for HSCP and Direct Accession, so I look forward to hearing input from individuals who have applied multiple times, and to multiple commissioning routes for MSC.

Best of luck to all of us this upcoming year!

For those who got Selected, was it just me or did you guys get a lot of sleep last night (Thursday)?  lol... I didn't sleep til 3:00 am Friday morning and I had to wake up at 5:00am.  I got roughly 2 hours cuz I was thinking about everything; its so overwhelming.  Anyways...

I contacted Ms. Kemp via phone call this morning (Friday).  She said she wants an email of all the info that is stated in the NAVADMIN.  I did that and I got an email from her saying, "Thank you," as well.

I did ask her what I needed to do now and she said to "hang tight, relax, and enjoy the wait.  It'll be a while for everything to process (i.e. commissioning paperwork) ."  So I asked if it was going to be roughly 2-3 months and she said around that long.  She will be emailing all those who were selected next week (didn't specify on what day) to give us more information.

Hope this helped.

A buddy of mine got picked up last year, and he left for San Antonio around the end of July. I'm sure we can expect something similar.

In the mean time, I'll share a couple things he's advised me to do:

*Ensure you have a CPR card that's good for as much time as possible. He was running around all the way till the end trying to get that thing. If it doesn't happen, it's not a big deal, you'll just have to go through the class once you get down there.

*Look into getting all the available allowance as soon as you can. Uniforms, shipping vehicles, etc. I'm pretty sure we have to wait for orders to get these, but we can start working on the request to submit.

I guess we all get sponsors as well, so we're not going into this thing alone. I think Ms. Kemp's advice is pretty good b/c my buddy said it's typical military hose-in-the-mouth learning.  :)

@Diver Dan - did your friend already have his Masters or did the Navy pay for them to go to Army Baylor (as you stated they went to San Antonio).   I have my Masters already and applied through Direct Commission, so would I expect to go to ODS in July?  Does anyone know this answer?  Thanks in advance.
