Nope. I have USMAP but never finished anything.

Those are two things I don't have. I have done volunteer work before and that is documented. Almost done with my USMAP. Another question, are Evals that have gaps in between the bullets a bad thing?

I heard it both ways for gaps between the bullets. BUT my opinion is that NEVER leave any gaps if you have substantial material to fill them with. I had so much to put on my evals that I always re-wrote them until everything fit until the last bit of space.

You'll get many different opinions on eval "white space."

I've heard some say that it looks like you didn't do enough to fill the block, other say white space is good because Master Chiefs are old and it's easier for them to read, and even others say that as long as you answer the "so what?" for each bullet, white space doesn't matter. It's all up to the interpretation and preference of your command.

I agree with @ET1IWSW   I been to a few different commands as a FCPO and each command has their own "design" for the evals.  I have some evals with zero white space and most recent with white space between opening/closing statements and the bullets.

I agree with all that was said. I think it does depend on command cause both Evals that I had from one command was "white spaces" but I had done enough there to fill it in. I guess it's one of those questions that if you ask you'll get different answers from different people

Congrats to the recent selectees!  As I have seen many times in this thread as well as 5 years back (I have been following this forum for as long as I can recall) please do not forget to come back here and share what you had that you feel made you get the "S".  It would be interesting to know who all had the PPME, MOVSM, LTB's.... etc.  ^_^

Fingers crossed for the ACDU list whenever it makes its way out!  BBb)

I didn't know that you could communicate information like that to the board, I knew it was what we used to send missing record data in, but didn't know that. I have gone limdu before as well. I went from sea duty for a year and some change then to limdu shore duty for six months and now back on sea duty so having 2 transfer Evals in that amount of time hopefully won't hurt me.

In the event that you don't make it, and I hope you do make it by the way, I can send you my example LTB cover page for future use.  It was green-lighted by my CMC that recently sat the SCPO board.  I'll PM you to get your email address.

I'm "patiently" waiting for the results as well...  I had PPME, JPME, MOVSM, Instructor of the Year, MTS, MTS Coordinator letter, CPO 365 Lead Trainer designation letter, POA designation for my department, Instructor of the Quarter, CSC, ECO (Tomahawk qual)...  I guess we'll see if the ninth time is a charm lol

Sounds like you have a pretty strong resume built up. Good luck on getting that S.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.  I've had some setbacks, but hopefully I was able to prove that I have overcome them.

That is a hell of a break out there.  I was 2 of 74 last year.  I do believe that is what the board is looking for...  Bouncing back from adversity.  No one is perfect, it is a matter of how you bounced back from that adversity, that's what counts.

Ranked 10 or 271?!! Wow thats awesome man!!

Preciate it. Had a great chain really looked out for me, great mentors and a division of HIGHLY MOTIVATED AC'S. Its hard to deny a division of 40 Sailors AW/SW Lol. They worked hard and it made us leaders look real good.

Those are both really good breakouts and especially coming back from adverse things. I hope to see yalls names on the list this year.

Congrats to all the FTS/SELRES who were selected! For those who got the 'N', I was there last time as well, so I know the pain and disappointment. However, as several have said in prior posts, it's how we bounce back and continue to take care of OUR Sailors that will make the difference.

I also "patienly" await the AD results. Several things I have heard and read on more than one occasion that were considered "big ticket items" were the completion of PPME (I did that and SEJPME via JKO), CPO365/FCPOA involvement, and hitting on BOTB (Brilliant on the Basics). For CPO365, leading in training and PT are viewed favorably.

Although I dont have a MOVSM, my volunteer work has been consistent over the past few years.

This page has been a GREAT resource for me over the past two years. And what is awesome is that it only keeps getting better!

Best of luck to EVERYONE!!

I meant last year's eval, my most recent one. I had all of the other stuff for last year's board but with a 4.43 MP eval heading into that board.

I thought the board didn't really look at weither it was an mp, or ep really. I thought they focused more on the write up and what it says?

They look at a hard breakout too

Yeah that's true. I definitely don't envy what the board members and recorders have to look at. So much information for so many people.

Hard breakout is like going from a P to an EP, RIGHT?

I think the breakouts are mp or ep. #× of ×× first classes, or #x EP of ×× First classes , something like that

I think if Im not mistaken its stating in the writeup. Example would be  "#2 of 60 First Class Petty Officers". P to EP without doubt shows progression as well, but the writeup will justify such change :):)
