NCIS Investigating Submarine Sailor Death on Naval Base Kitsap
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is investigating the death of a sailor at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton, Wash. The sailor, who was assigned to the Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Michigan (SSGN-727), was found unresponsive at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday following a single-vehicle crash at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton, Lt. Zachary Anderson, spokesperson for Submarine Group 9, told USNI News in an email. -
