CFL/ACFLs,

- A New PHA is NOT Required When an Existing PHA is Current,  If a member has completed a PHA within the previous 12 months and subsequently requires medical clearance as a result of PARFQ responses, a Not Within Standards (NWS) BCA, or a failed PRT in preparation for a Bad Day PRT, the member is responsible for coordinating the appropriate medical appointment through their medical department.  Completion of an additional PHA is NOT required.  REFERENCE:  PRP GUIDE-6.
 
- PRIMS Training Format Survey Suspense Date 15OCT.  CFL/ACFLs are invited to complete the FY-27 PRIMS Training Format Survey to provide feedback on the preferred layout for future PRIMS training materials.  Please visit the Message Board page in PRIMS for steps to view the templates and survey.
 
-  Virtual Classes Offered by Armed Forces Wellness Center (AFWC).  AFWC virtual classes are a quick and convenient way to learn about metabolism, sleep habits, meal planning, stress management, and staying fit at home or away.  Please see the October 2026 Virtual Class Schedule.  Contact the listed AFWC location to register and attend virtually from anywhere; please be mindful of time-zone differences. 

- New Noom Digital Information. There are new flyers for tips on living better, increasing vitality, and managing blood glucose. For additional information, please see Noom of the PRP website.
 
- Updated PRP FAQ (October 2026).  You are highly encouraged to review the PRP FAQs. These are questions directly from Sailors in the Fleet and answered by the PRP Office with the relevant references.

      Australian Sub ‘Sank’ US Navy Aircraft Carrier By Evading Japanese, Canadian, Chilean, Korean, and British Forces - & Photographed the Supercarrier

      Summary and Key Points: Berlin-based journalist Caleb Larson recounts how the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins-class diesel-electric submarines, noisy and troubled when they replaced the Oberon-class in the late 1990s, earned respect in early-2000s exercises when HMAS Waller penetrated a carrier group’s screens, evaded US, Japanese, Canadian, Chilean, Korean, and British forces, and photographed aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) within torpedo range. Australia then scrapped a 12-boat Naval Group deal for AUKUS nuclear submarines; the Collins boats serve into the 2030s.

      From E-1 to W-1: CNRH Sailor commissioned as one of Navy's first EST warrant officers

      JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii — A Navy Region Hawaii Sailor made military history during a commissioning ceremony at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Oct. 1, 2026, marking the official establishment of the Navy’s newest officer community. Yeoman 1st Class Anthony Jaslow was pinned with the single gold bar of a Warrant Officer 1, becoming one of the first Sailors in Navy history selected for the newly established Executive Support Technician (EST) community.
