Norfolk Sailor sentenced to 10 years for enticement and coercion of a minor
A sailor stationed in Norfolk has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the coercion and enticement of a minor. Bailey Dwayne Burnett, 26, received his sentence on June 12. Burnett exchanged several video and image files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) with another sailor, Zhane Tavern Elamin, in January 2023. He also discussed ways to engage minors. -

22-year-old Naval Station Mayport sailor arrested in sting operation targeting child sex predators
MARION COUNTY, Fla. – One of the 58 individuals arrested in an undercover sting operation targeting child sex predators was a 22-year-old sailor stationed at Naval Station Mayport. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies conducted a week-long investigation called “Operation Bad Habits,” in which detectives posed online as children between the ages of 7 and 15.
