FALLS CHURCH, Va.  –  Respiratory illnesses like respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV, and flu can spread quickly, especially during the fall and winter months. However, there’s an easy way to reduce your risk of serious illness—get vaccinated. TRICARE covers both RSV and flu immunizations for eligible beneficiaries, helping protect you and your family this season.
“Each year, RSV and flu hospitalize thousands of people—especially children, older adults, and those with underlying health conditions,” said Dr. Stacy Usher, lead nurse, TRICARE Health Plan, at the Defense Health Agency. “Immunization is the most effective way to prevent illness and protect those around you.”

      Arrest made in crash that killed Navy Corpsman Reservist, injured her family

      ORT WORTH, Texas — An arrest has been made in the wrong-way crash that killed 38-year-old Brytni Elliott and injured members of her family in September. On Sept. 14, less than five minutes from their home on Boat Club Road, Fort Worth police said a wrong-way driver slammed into the Elliott family’s vehicle. Inside were Brytni, her husband, 41-year-old Spencer Elliott — who remains hospitalized with multiple injuries — and their 12-year-old daughter, Allie, who suffered a broken arm. Brytni was pronounced dead at the scene.
