The Administration Wants Military Women to Know Their Place

President tRump and Secretary of Defense Hedgehog seem to be on a mission to erase women from the top ranks of the U.S. armed forces. Last week, they took another step along this path by removing the first female head of the United States Naval Academy, in Annapolis, Maryland.

The Naval Academy was founded in 1845, but didn’t admit its first class of women until 1976. The head of the school is known as the superintendent, and Annapolis would not get its first female admiral in that position until 2024. Now the first woman to serve as the “supe” has been reassigned and replaced by a man, and for the first time in the academy’s history, the role went to a Marine.

      Pentagon watchdog has evidence Hedgehog’s Signal messages included classified information, sources say

      The Pentagon’s inspector general has received evidence that the military plans shared from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s Signal account to a group chat earlier this year were taken from a US Central Command document that was marked classified at the time, according to two people familiar with the ongoing review.

      Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy James Honea Announces Retirement

      Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) James Honea will retire from the United States Navy on September 12, 2025, after 38 years of faithful service to our nation. “It has been a profound privilege and honor to serve as your MCPON,” said Honea. “I will carry with me the countless memories of meeting Sailors across the Fleet, hearing about your remarkable achievements, as well as the level of trust you placed in me to advocate for you and your families. During my tenure it has been my mission to remove barriers and improve the quality of life for you and your family.” MCPON Honea assumed the role as the 16th MCPON on September 8, 2022. Throughout his tenure, he championed efforts to make Sailors stronger, smarter, and better valued—both through direct engagement with Sailors and their families, and through strategic advocacy on Capitol Hill. His collaborative work with Congress and Department of Defense policy makers contributed to significant legislative achievements and quality of life impacts, including a historic 15 percent pay increase for junior enlisted ranks (E-1 to E-4), as well as improvements in unaccompanied housing, medical care, spouse employment, and childcare services. Within the Navy, MCPON Honea drove initiatives to enhance enlisted leadership development, naval education, and performance evaluations—highlighted by the recent update to the Chief Petty Officer evaluation system earlier this year. “Since 1775, the United States Navy has been operating forward to defend our nation and defeat those who challenge our freedom. Every one of you embody the fighting spirit, honoring the legacy of those who came before you. As I embark on the next chapter of my life, I will forever cherish the impact you’ve had on me and look forward to crossing paths with you again in the Fleet.”

      Will trump Really ‘Drain the Swamp’?

      Remember that 8 years ago trump campaigned on a promise to "Drain the Swamp." With his own self interests, it's pretty obvious that trump is the swamp... Americans heard then President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign promise to “drain the swamp” in order to free Washington, D.C., from its influence peddlers and special interests. Prime example: Asking Qatar, & then getting a Boeing "royal jet" as his temp "presidential jet" that will be given to his "presidential library" when he is no longer president. There is more...
