  1. My husband is applying for 644X. It's fun to see the numbers start to pick up here :) He's been gone for I think every release of results since he was first up for Chief so I use these forums to stay posted, I don't have much to say since I'm not AD myself but I really appreciate all the insight from the posters. They're wonderful, thank you Tony for all you do! Plus last year it was fun to post the Chief results before anyone suspected, slid under the radar.

no problem, that's what the forum is for, thanks ...  BBb)

  2. Another old timer here. Accounts sometimes disappear to avoid compromise from hackers. Amazing how Tony has kept this forum going for all these years with all these sophisticated hackers. I started hanging here as an E5 in early 2008. I remember you MemphisHawk.

and as we speak, the server has been under attack since yesterday 10:23 PM until <current>. Every country you can imagine going after the mail server, not sure how they do that ...  BBb)

  3. I agree but everybody I come in contact with tells me not to worry I made it. I know they are just given a boost of confidence and what me to think positive. Unless its mrs kemp that says it I don't beleive it. But I also thank them for believing in me. I know that last years cheif selections training was put on hold wasn't very long but something haplen that cause there cheif initiation to be put on hold navy wide. So what I'm saying if the board was compromised I'm sure that would have been known by us all via message traffic

I assume you are double posting, once again, because either you did not read the guidelines, or you think they do not apply to you.

  4. I think that I speak for all. I love the fact that we are communicating amongst each other and sharing information. I have no idea when these results are coming out. But I will say that its sad when a fellow forum speaker makes a statement pertaining to a date that was heard with no source or valid source to reference it to. Its a disappointment because everybody know that we are on pins and needles and the pressure is building. The last thing I want to see is a date that's put out without a creditable source to follow it. If you cant reveal the source why post a date. Every statement starts out with "I heard" then that date passes us by. Im just saying people lets not be like the program website or the program lack of administrative competencies. So far this site is all we have

Scuttlebutt has always been fine since the inception of NavyAdvancement.com. If someone heard something, they can share it here and others can verify, give a yea or give a nay. The only time there is an issue is when someone is trolling and intentionally give false information. I pretty much know the routine and come down hard on those individuals.

Otherwise, scuttlebutt is really part of what we can go on here and vetting will occur. If someone posts information that they heard that might not be factual someone usually comes on and say "the reason that is not true is because <insert reason>" - it's that simple. People do not have to reveal their source but it is their reputation that comes to light. We all learn and people are more inclined to post rather than not because they are worried about offending someone...  BBb)

  5. Thanks for the email explaining what happened to this forum Tony. Cyber attack is our greatest threat these days. I am an old timer in this forum since 2009 and I have seen it all. I am sure we will get most of those old timers back here to hang out and share their experiences. I still miss the LCDR who used to give invaluable information and tips to LDO/CWO applicants.

no problem, oh you remember those days (we also did that roundtable :) ), yeah it takes more resources and time for internet security but hopefully what I have in place is good. So far this morning attempts were made from the U.S., China, Ukraine and Germany but the difference was they were all automatically blocked. Thanks and let the fun continue...  BBb)

  6. Lol didn't mean it in a bad way you busted your rear getting back up! I was just saying things happen like Russian cyber attacks or me shutting down half of trauma bay computers in an er when I knocked a patient over his urinal and it got all over... Oops.

actually it was good timing, almost spit my drink out because I was adding some extra security stuff that is greek to me and I have tighten the hatches and I saw your post and it reminded me about why I was knocking my head against the wall just now.
