WASHINGTON — The Department of Veterans Affairs on Thursday abruptly announced that it would stop enforcing a new rule requiring disability ratings to be calculated by how well veterans function on medication and not solely on the underlying condition or injury itself.

YOKOHAMA – The Kanagawa Prefectural Police arrested an employee of a major trading company on Thursday for allegedly trespassing into a U.S. military base in violation of the Special Criminal Act under the Japan-U.S. status-of-forces agreement.
The Navy is advancing the Chief of Naval Operations’ No Sailor Lives Afloat initiative, which ensures all Sailors assigned to ships and afloat units have access to housing ashore. As of February, approximately 4,500 Sailors have transitioned from living afloat to residing ashore.
