RMKS/1.  This NAVADMIN announces requirements and solicits enlisted 
applications for the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (NFDS)(Blue Angels).   
Applications must be received via email no later than 14 February 
2025.  Selection results will be available no later than 31 March 2025.   
Personnel with a projected rotation date of September 2025 through April 2026 
are eligible.  Sailors outside of this projected rotation date range may 
apply with command and detailer approval.  Applicants selected will detach 
from their current command in September 2025 and report to the NFDS mid-
October 2025. 
 
2.  There are open Active Duty E-5/E-6 billets within the following Navy 
ratings:  AD, AE, AO, AM, AME, AS, AT, AZ, HM, LS, MC, PR, PS and YN.   
Additionally, Chief Petty Officer applications are being accepted for MMCPO, 
ADCS, AMCS, and AEC.  Platform specific experience is not a requirement to 
apply.  Exceptional E-4 applicants will be considered. 
    a.  Due to Senior Enlisted Marketplace quotas and selection timelines, 
the following billets may be also available:  ATCS, ATC, AMC, ADC, AZC, NCC, 
YNC, MCC.  Please contact the Point of Contact (POC) listed in paragraph 5 to 
verify billet availability prior to submitting an Enlisted Personnel Action 
Request (NAVPERS 1306/7) or application. 
 
3.  Personnel selected for this unique and demanding duty represent the 
hundreds of thousands of Sailors and Marines serving throughout the United 
States and abroad.  Applicants must meet the requirements listed below to be 
considered for duty with the Blue Angels (waivers are not normally 
considered). 
    a.  Must not be in receipt of permanent change of station orders before 
final selections are made in March 2025. 
    b.  No non-judicial punishment or courts-martial convictions in the last 
36 months. 
    c.  No alcohol-related incidents (civil or military) in the last 36 
months.  Driving under the influence/driving while intoxicated convictions 
within the last five years are disqualifying. 
    d.  No financial instability/command directed counseling in the last 36 
months.  Applicants must be eligible for a government credit card (this 
cannot be waived). 
    e.  No physical fitness assessment failures in the last 36 months.   
Personnel who have had medical waivers in the last 24 months will be 
considered on a case-by-case basis only. 
    f.  Must be able to obligate 36 months of service. 
 
4.  Interested candidates that meet the above requirements must submit a 
fully completed NAVPERS 1306/7 with September 2025 listed as the earliest and 
latest available transfer dates to their respective rating detailer via their 
Commanding Officer.  After submission of NAVPERS 1306/7 and released to the 
Special Programs detailer, applicants must submit Special Program Screening 
(NAVPERS 1306/92) and their application to the Blue Angels using the 
following criteria (ensure all telephone numbers, mailing addresses and  
e-mail addresses are included). 
    a.  Commanding Officer's signed letter of endorsement on command 
letterhead, which must include: 
      (1) A statement detailing military appearance and tattoos. 
      (2) An evaluation of the applicant's public speaking ability, demeanor, 
professional knowledge, and leadership skills. 
    b.  Copy of NAVPERS 1306/7. 
    c.  Original NAVPERS 1306/92. 
    d.  Include copies of last five evaluations. 
    e.  Provide official photographs (front, side, back) in enlisted service 
uniform uncovered (khakis for E-7 through E-9 applicants). 
    f.  Include completed applicant personal questionnaire located on the 
Blue Angels website at: https://www.blueangels.navy.mil/join/.
    g.  Common application errors include: 
      (1) Lack of detailed contact information. 
      (2) Unsigned NAVPERS 1306/7 and NAVPERS 1306/92. 
      (3) NAVPERS 1306/7 not forwarded to the applicant's detailer. 
      (4) No Commanding Officer's endorsement. 
      (5) Missing evaluations. 
      (6) Photos not included with application. 
      (7) Application submitted to the applicant's detailer vice the Blue 
Angels POC. 
      (8) Earliest and latest transfer dates not filled out in requested 
action section of the NAVPERS 1306/7. 
 
5.  Enlisted applications must be submitted via e-mail to:

6.  The applicant's medical record will be reviewed during the application 
process. 
 
7.  Candidates should contact the NFDS within one week of the (e-mail) 
submission of their application to verify receipt and schedule a personal 
interview.  Interviews will be conducted as follows: 
    a.  At Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL from 2 September 2024 through  
13 December 2024, Sunday through Thursday. 
    b.  At scheduled show sites from 2 September 2024 through 13 December 
2024, by appointment. 
    c.  At Naval Air Facility El Centro, CA from 6 January 2025 through 28 
February 2025, Monday through Saturday.  The final week to complete 
interviews will be 24-28 February 2025 in El Centro, CA. 
Applicants currently stationed within the continental United States, 
including those that are deployed but will return prior to final selection, 
are highly encouraged to interview in-person.  Funding for travel is the 
responsibility of the applicant or their parent command.  The NFDS does not 
provide travel funding for applicant interviews.  Applicants permanently 
assigned OCONUS (including Hawaii and Alaska), or those who are deployed, 
will interview via telephone. 
 
8.  Applicants that are not selected will be afforded the opportunity of one 
MyNavy Assignment application if past their final orders application 
window.  These applicants are encouraged to contact their rating detailer 
immediately following notification.
