WASHINGTON — The Pentagon has ordered thousands of face coverings for Defense Department personnel to help stop the spread of the coronavirus, a top Pentagon official announced Monday.

The face coverings, made of cloth, will be provided to the entire Defense Department workforce of about 3 million people, Ellen Lord, the undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment, said during a news conference at the Pentagon. https://www.stripes.com/news/us/pentagon-orders-thousands-of-face-masks-for-dod-personnel-1.626731
