Sailors competing for advancement to paygrades E-4 through E-6 will be awarded two points for an accredited associate's degree, and four points for an accredited baccalaureate degree or above. Education points are part of the Final Multiple Score (FMS) and will be awarded for the highest degree held. The degree must be awarded prior to the first day of the exam administration month for you to receive education points. To get degree credit from an accredited college, you must have your OFFICIAL transcript sent from your institution directly to the Joint Services Transcript (JST) formerly Sailor-Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript (SMART):
