The Navy finished the first of its modernization projects meant to move sailors into shore housing as part of the Pentagon’s overall Barracks Task Force, the installations command announced Thursday.

The Navy installed new furnishings and renovated the living quarters at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton, Wash., one of the Navy’s bases where ship maintenance occurs, according to a Commander, Navy Installations Command news release.
