Russia - Won | USA - 0 According to trump, it is now up to President Volodymyr Zelensky and to a smaller degree the European Union to achieve peace. If that is the case, why didn't trump invite President Volodymyr Zelensky and the European Union to that summit in the first place? In my opinion most likely two reasons: His dream of developing a hotel in Moscow (going back decades) His other dream of getting a Nobel Peace prize "The Red carpet, handshakes and footage and photographs that are in all global publications and TV channels," it said, saying it was the first time that Trump had met a visiting leader off their plane at the airport. Its correspondent in Alaska said the two leaders had obviously agreed about a lot of things, but did not say what those things were. -

trump sure is an embarrassment to the United States of America... Last week, the White House blew past its own deadline of imposing sanctions on Russia for continuing its three-year invasion of Ukraine, and then, in a misguided effort to clean up that mistake, President Donald Trump gifted Russian President Vladimir Putin a one-on-one meeting in Alaska. It was impossible to make sense of what Trump expected to gain by doing so. Itβs not even clear what Trump wants, other than a Nobel Peace Prize. -

Government papers found in an Alaskan hotel reveal new details of Trump-Putin summit
At around 9 a.m. on Friday, three guests at Hotel Captain Cook, a four-star hotel located 20 minutes from the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage where leaders from the U.S. and Russia convened, found the documents left behind in one of the hotel's public printers. NPR reviewed photos of the documents taken by one of the guests, who NPR agreed not to identify because the guest said they feared retaliation.
