  1. I know it is a bit late, but you can submit as many as needed. Don't limit image quality for one LTB

Anyone else dealing with needing to reduce size their PDFs/ convert them to black and white in order to fit their files within their LTB submission for EESBD? I feel like the 2MB limit is too low. Ideally the board wouldn't fault you for having to submit two LTBs?

I think the same. 25th is most likely, but I'd love to see results this Friday.

Assuming a Friday release like the past three years, the first Friday in March is the 4th.
It would be 53 days from board convening date to that day. It hasn't been longer than 50 days awaiting results since the FY-14 in 2013 which was 55 days.

    Although... 2014 was 50 days, 2017 was 49 days, and 2018 was 50 days.
So it is not inconceivable that we may be waiting into March. Its happened before.

Lol one thing we can agree on is that they will release.

  3. Anyone know if it is true that candidates under 10 years have quotas reserved for them?

I've heard this now from two or three different Master Chiefs, however, it is always followed by a "well it use to be that way, not sure if they still do this." Kind of interesting if so, since a 9 year candidate's record will (in most cases) be far less robust when compared against a 17 year candidate.

Oh and GOOD LUCK FOLKS! It's been a fun ride over the last few months on here.

With the coming release date, let us have to annual question "Why would you get picked up? Why not?" And being a gentleman, and in some circles a scholar, I am willing to start!

Why get picked: I have documented SSP going back ~4 years, LPO at sea, FCPOA involvement, command collaterals with documented impact, mentoring of junior sailors (not as well documented), SOY and SOQ just recently at a new command, college degree.

Why NOT: go back a few years and I have a ranked 'P', went recruiting as a nuke (this is a black eye in my community), have not documented my mentoring well enough on evals, and >10 yrs TIR as a MMN1 (I have to assume this hurts me).

Why S: SOY, Dept LPO tour, command impact, 360 involvement, FCPOA involvement, Full EP record except for made rank P and welcome aboard P, degree, IT Watch Quals/Certs, SEJPME, #1 evals X2.

Why N: 8 years in the Navy, Don't have LPO at Sea as a first class (have Supervisor though), No documented Command Training Team.

Hi all, I have a question I’m up this year for cpo and I was wondering does it hold weight if you are a back to back EP’s on a aircraft carrier 1st time #30 2nd time  #10 . I am fully qualified per my ladr. I’m asking because I’m not in rate. I am doing a special billet at the moment.  and most people in this special duty do not promote. Here’s a little more:

All of this occurred on the carrier within the last 3 years. I was flight deck lpo( because they were low on fcpo’s) I got lucky and it was only for a year.  I was the fcpoa president, sailor 360 training lead, all ppme, sejpme 1&2 complete,  dctt, adtt, and  ood inport all documented in my evals. if you wanna know how to do sejpme 2 I will tell you I also have green belt, junior duty section leader on a carrier for 3 consecutive years and a transfer COM. It’s also documented on my eval that I helped pass inspections, my Sailors advanced and some were retained.  I’ve never been in trouble and passed all prt and bca. And I also killed my special duty it’s well documented. Thanks in advance for responses.
And also when do you think quotas will be out? For Active duty?

Hey, I'll be straight up I'm not a CPO, just another fellow PO1 who was stationed on a carrier. I can tell you that Sustained Superior Performance, hard breakouts (especially with the numbers carriers have) FCPOA, Sailor Leadership and LADR qualifications will carry you to success IMO. But hey, again I'm in the same boat as you, so take it for what it is worth. I recommend you state your rate so you can get some more tailored advice.
