  1. I've seen dudes submit 30+ pages. We are on the low end of the scale.
  2. I sent in 10. It is the one thing that has to be briefed line for line.
  3. At least on the boat everything is close by, if you are back on the beach then you are driving/running all over the place to make events and deadlines.
  4. CMC starts asking you "who runs barter town"
  5. It becomes the thunder dome, two man enter...……….one man leave
  6. I'm with ya. just putting out the scoop from a Sailor I know who is out to sea. I think his chain of command wants them to come out after they get back instead of the last few days of the underway period.
  7. I've heard from people out to sea that the rumor is August 6th or 7th. Which would make the season much like it was last year.
  8. I have heard the same around here. Once CNP does post the schedule, then things start getting crazy.
  9. Anyone hear any good rumors for today?
  10. You hit the nail on the head brother!!! Excellence in warfighting is the only way.
  11. I get asked randomly, we have a lot of Chiefs at my command so it's the ones that I don't see daily that ask.
  12. Unless you're out to sea and something major comes up, the ceremony will be September 13th.
  13. What are the good rumors for today? Did you all hear about the CNP's dog eating the results?
  14. I agree with the change BIGTIME!! Collateral duties became an unruly monster in the selection process. The less points they are valued the better.
  15. we still got some time then. Lets hope the week goes by fast for us all.
  16. Does anyone remember how long it was from when they made the announcement and the results being released to the TRIAD? We are coming up on 9 days until August 1st.
  17. It could qualify. You would have to provide the paperwork (if any) and the instruction from 1969 that states what weapons are authorized for that qualification. I'm a small arms instructor and I get these questions frequently from active Sailors. I usually just take them to the range and have them shoot again as it is easier than sorting through paperwork.
  18. Depends on where you are at. I have been in commands where the Chiefs Mess is all about being qualified and holding collaterals. They may not outwardly stress about it but, there are a lot of variables as to why. I do agree that it is a complete change in mindset, it is not about you anymore. We have a totally different focus when it comes to those things.
  19. We can't always control what commands we get. Getting fully qualified in each command is important though.
  20. Depends on the hornet command. It's either feast or famine. I was the only First Class that was SFF but then three more got qualified after I transferred.
  21. I'm mostly a VFA guy . I did a CVW tour and FRC as well. I submitted a career summary letter in the format of the old LDO/CWO packages, I just found them easy to read and it flows well. I also submitted my designation letters for safe for flight, production controller, and the COM and NAM I got when I was staff
  22. I think you would be fine. the person who reviewed your record would have noticed that and then looked in PRIMS to verify. A wiser person than me said that they don't have access to PRIMS. I still wouldn't stress about it.
  23. "laying the keel" doesn't specifically mention a timeline.
  24. I should have taken leave leading up to the season. It is pretty quiet in my command though, no one is all ramped up yet.
