The Actions & Consequences of Our commander-in-chief

On January 20, 2025, Donald J. Trump was elected as president of the United States. Trump did not served in the military and is the first president with felony convictions. With that came a drastic change in allegiances from inside our nation and out. Veterans were one of the first groups that got hit hard even though there were warnings before Trump was elected as president that Veterans would be targeted.

The purpose of this forum is to document the actions of our current commander-in-chief and to disseminate the consequences of these actions and how it impacts Navy personnel, their families, veterans, and our allies or former allies as this may affect any conflict we are involved with in the future: Keep your seabag packed.

    • It is instances like this one, incidents that go completely contrary to our country's founding as a democracy (Constitutional Federal Republic,) that make me continue to post against what that dictator trump is doing. Please do not support trump - our democracy is at stake... LOS ANGELES—George Retes, a U.S. citizen and Iraq War veteran, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal agencies for three days and three nights. During that time, he was denied access to an attorney, was not allowed to make a phone call, was not presented to a judge, and was put in an isolation cell. He missed his daughter’s third birthday. He was never charged with a crime.
    • “NORTHCOM was previously sidelined in any Mexico planning, the conventional special operations components mostly involved in joint training with their Mexican counterparts and non-lethal missions such as at-sea interdictions of shipments, but now it is being tasked to be the hemispheric synchronizer, of a far larger magnitude” says the senior intelligence official. One reason is that prospective attacks also have to coordinate with the intelligence community at large, the FBI, and various homeland security agencies (such as Border Patrol and ICE) who all now are focused on Mexico (and are conducting their own operations inside Mexico).
    • “I’ve never seen this many security teams for one guy,” the official said. “Nobody has.” Historically about 150 of the agency’s approximately 1,500 agents serve on VIP security details, according to people familiar with the matter, who said that when Hegseth took office a call went out for many more. Now there are hundreds assigned to personal protective duty, these people said. One person characterized the figure as “400 and going up.” Another said it’s “over 500.”
